System Owner/ Technical Lead MES

Job Description
The System Owner/ Technical Lead MES oversees the full lifecycle of manufacturing execution systems, ensuring alignment with operational needs and technological innovation. This role requires balancing technical expertise with strategic vision to optimize manufacturing processes and maintain system integrity.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve MES applications and systems
+ Collaborate closely with other members of the cross-functional team including production managers, engineers, and IT staff to define system requirements and design manufacturing solutions
+ Orchestrate clean, efficient, and maintainable code for MES systems, adhering to best practices and coding standards
+ Participate in code reviews to ensure quality and share knowledge with the team regarding manufacturing execution systems
+ Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing MES systems to ensure optimal manufacturing operations
+ Contribute to the entire software development lifecycle for manufacturing systems, from concept to deployment and maintenance
+ Stay updated with emerging MES technologies and apply them to improve existing manufacturing systems and processes
+ Work closely with QA teams to ensure MES applications are of the highest quality and meet manufacturing standards
+ Assist in the estimation of tasks, identify potential roadblocks in manufacturing processes, and propose solutions
+ Optimize MES systems for speed, scalability and compliance across production facilities
**Key Requirements**
+ Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in IT Systems operations, with a focus on regulatory and quality solutions required.
+ Experience with Delmia Apriso or Critical Manufacturing (CMF) required.
+ Experience with software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum) in manufacturing environments.
+ Strong knowledge of MES principles and software engineering patterns.
+ Experience with version control systems (e.g., Github) for manufacturing software development.
+ Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills for addressing complex manufacturing challenges.
+ Strong communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with production teams and stakeholders.
+ Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for manufacturing software.
+ Understanding of manufacturing processes and how MES systems integrate with other enterprise systems (ERP, PLM, etc.).
**Education & Qualifications**
+ A Masters / Bachelor's degree in Business, Information technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
+ Itil 4, Prince 2 or GMP is a plus
**Travel Requirements**
+ Position involve travel up to 10% of the time, mostly within Europe, Asia Pacific, and Americas.
+ Most trips will include overnight travel.
**Languages**
+ English
+ Portuguese or Spanish is a plus

You’ll be joining the company at a pivotal time in our growth as we expand our payment offering over the next 12 months. Focusing on reducing complexity across the entire payment chain, you’ll help some of the UK’s leading brands launch new payment products, reduce fraud and identify innovative ways for them to tackle business challenges through their in-app, online and face-to-face payments.
We are seeking a passionate and self-motivated Technical Product Owner to join our product team, reporting directly to our Head of Product. Your primary objective will be to accompany the product team in turning our visions into reality by working closely with the engineering team and our partners to deliver open finance APIs and products at scale.
Responsibilities
- Lead the requirement analysis process for a given feature/product from initiation, engagement with stakeholders (both internal and external), to ensure theimplementation and scope are in line with the business requirements
- Breaking down requirements into user stories, defining clear acceptance criteria in accordance with the agreed product scope and technical details and presenting these todevelopment teams during agile ceremonies
- Facilitate agile ceremonies with the product and engineering teams
- Document technical solutions with the use of sequence, event diagrams or use cases to model the logic implemented
- Be responsible for the facilitation of workshops with product managers and engineers to ratify the feasibility and desirability of their requirements
- Become the subject matter expert for the products delivered, understanding the system's architecture
- Be available for questions/queries throughout the full product development cycle, supporting the technology team and the wider business
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of experience working in an agile environment (SCRUM / Kanban)
- Ability to quickly understand the full end-to-end functionality of all components within a complex architecture
- Understanding of REST and RESTful services
- Capable of working in a small team or independently
- Strong project management skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Commitment to achieving high standards
- Ability to write clear and concise technical documents
