The Role
As a Systems Engineer, you'll take a lead role in the technical definition and delivery of custom subsea solutions, working in close partnership with Project Managers, engineering specialists, and global customers.
You will be involved from concept through to delivery - gathering requirements, developing architectures, overseeing design, leading integration and validation, and ensuring systems are delivered on time, on budget, and to specification.
This is a technically hands-on role that requires strong engineering expertise, the ability to solve complex problems, and the confidence to liaise directly with customers on technical challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, review, and interpret customer requirements, working with sales and engineering teams to define bespoke system architectures.

- Demonstrated ability to lead delivery against project milestones and adapt to changing requirements.

Basic Qualifications

Successfully complete all identified training both in-house and external, as required.Develop system architectures, designs, and detailed specifications to meet client requirements.Integrate various subsystems and components to form a cohesive system, ensuring compatibility and performance.Execute system testing and validation activities to verify that systems meet design specifications and performance criteria.Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including requirements, design specifications, test plans and operator manuals.Analyse and translate client requirements into functional and non-functional specifications.Participate in technical discussions with the project teams and identify and resolve technical issues.Support commissioning at client sites.Support and specify procurement activities as required.Be actively involved in the manufacture, assembly and testing of bespoke systems.Suggest changes and improvements if opportunities arise.Engage in continuous learning to develop technical skills and knowledge relevant to system integration.Communicate with clients to understand their needs and ensure their satisfaction with the delivered system.Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software, hardware, workshop and project management, to ensure successful project delivery.Follow all health and safety regulations, procedures and protocols.Support the delivery of the project scope to company quality management system, process and procedures.Have base knowledge of client specific standards and international standards.Engage in quality and technical reviews.Assist with any other duties reasonably requested and in line with the requirements of the role.SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS
We are looking for:
Experience and Knowledge
Minimum of 2 years’ experience with a relevant qualification or 4 years’ experience in systems engineering or equivalent role.Good understanding of systems engineering principles and methodologies.Good knowledge of Software Packages relevant to the role of a Systems Engineer i.e. SCADA packages, PLC packages and HMI packages.Familiarity and experience with system integration processes, tools and technologies.A basic understanding of industry and company quality management systems, process and procedure.Skills and Abilities
