Our client is a leading provider of innovative technology solutions seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Remote Network & Systems Administrator to join their fully remote workforce. This is an exceptional opportunity for a skilled IT professional to manage and maintain critical network infrastructure and server environments from the comfort of their own home. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our client's IT systems, supporting a global user base.

- Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot complex network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Manage and monitor server environments (Windows Server, Linux), including installation, configuration, patching, and performance tuning.
- Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect against cyber threats, including antivirus, intrusion detection, and vulnerability management.
- Develop and execute disaster recovery and business continuity plans, ensuring data integrity and minimal downtime.
- Provide Tier 3 support for complex technical issues, resolving incidents in a timely and efficient manner.
- Automate routine tasks through scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) to improve operational efficiency.
- Monitor system performance and proactively identify and resolve potential issues.
- Manage cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure) for scalability and reliability.
- Collaborate with development teams to support application deployment and integration.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, system procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices in network and systems administration.
- Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support when necessary.
- Contribute to IT projects, system upgrades, and technology evaluations.
- Proven experience as a Network and Systems Administrator, with a strong emphasis on remote management.
- In-depth knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF).
- Expertise in Windows Server administration and experience with Linux distributions.
- Hands-on experience with firewall management (e.g., Cisco ASA, Palo Alto) and VPN technologies.
- Proficiency in scripting languages for automation (e.g., PowerShell, Bash).
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, MCSE, or equivalent are a plus.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
