Job Description
- Vialto Partners is looking for a Senior Manager to join a rapidly growing team in our Employment Tax business.
- We are looking for an individual with experience on a broad range of Employment Tax matters who is keen to develop and progress in a fast paced and dynamic environment. The individual would be comfortable leading client engagements, delivering across a broad range of complex areas, driving forward key initiatives within the team and supporting the development of the wider team. The successful candidate would also have a keen interest in business development and building market presence.
- Using technical ability and practical experience to deliver technical and commercially focused advice, as well as helping the client to practically implement any proposed solutions.
- Overseeing work in relation to a wide variety of employment tax advisory projects, varying from larger strategic projects through to risk and opportunity reviews.
- Leading on a wide variety of employer compliance activities relating to areas such as off payroll working (including IR35) and employment status, termination payments, PAYE health checks and audits, HMRC’s “Know Your Customer” reviews, voluntary disclosures, PAYE Settlement Agreements and running projects relating to payroll advisory and pay governance, including National Living/Minimum Wage and Holiday Pay compliance.
- Proactively engaging with clients and the market to develop new opportunities, managing and delivering work to a high standard and meeting deadlines.
- Managing and developing client relationships through business development activities.
- Staying up to date with evolving tax legislation and best practice and keeping clients informed of any changes.
- Building and nurturing strong client and colleague relationships to foster long-term partnerships and drive business growth.
- Developing and implementing comprehensive employment tax strategies aligned to Vialto’s wider objectives.
- Working within a team both globally and nationally, whilst also being able to work independently.
- Working collaboratively with the wider team to share best practice and knowledge.
- Working with cross-functional teams and leading employment tax projects.
- Supervising junior staff on a day-to-day basis, whilst overseeing their personal and technical development.
- A commitment to delivering great client service with a focus on clear and timely communication.
- Strong analytical skills and an interest in using technology to analyse client data and improve the usability of data for clients.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Provides compelling and well thought out solutions to complex problems.
- Sustains a high level of drive, shows enthusiasm and a positive attitude when coping with pressure at work.
- Strong organisational and project management skills, including prioritisation & working to strict deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
The candidate will have practical experience of the areas outlined above with a strong background in Employment Tax.
Certification(s) Preferred: ACA / ATT / CTA (or breadth of knowledge equivalent to CTA), Tax Inspectors with full Technical Training or individuals with a Law qualification are welcome to apply.

Our client is a long established Tax and Advisory business, helping clients manage their Isle of Man, UK and International tax requirements, along with business and financial structures, estate and trust planning. Their highly qualified team of advisers are either Chartered Tax Advisors and/or Chartered Accountants and now require a Tax Compliance Officer to join and support the team as the practice enjoys a period of continued growth.
As a Tax Compliance Officer you will:
- Conduct regular reviews of tax filings to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Analyse financial data to identify potential tax liabilities or risks
- Prepare and submit IOM and UK tax returns and related documentation
- Assist the Tax Manager in the development and implementation of tax planning strategies
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary financial information for tax reporting
- Respond to tax inquiries and requests from government agencies
- Stay up to date with knowledge of tax compliance and general taxation for both IOM and UK jurisdictions
The ideal candidate for the role of Tax Compliance Officer will have:
- A formal Accounting qualification
- Has a minimum of 3 years' experience in tax compliance or a similar role
- In-depth knowledge of IOM and UK tax regulations and laws
- Strong analytical thinking ability with a focus on detail
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

1. - You will be responsible for the end to end corporate tax compliance for a group of wide ranging Meta entities within EMEA. In this role you will partner with fellow tax colleagues, service providers and the wider international finance team to deliver timely and accurate corporate tax compliance
2. - Collaborate with our accounting colleagues to ensure the tax aspects, including the tax accounting of the statutory financial statements is correct
3. - Actively participate within the International tax operations optimisation team and ideally lead one of the many initiatives to achieve our Global Tax 2030 strategy
4. - Support the EMEA Corporate tax team with various initiatives including corporate tax audits and the support of operationalising any tax planning initiatives
5. - Partner with our US Tax colleagues for the US GAAP and US tax compliance including meeting our International SOX controls
