This pivotal role involves managing complex cross-border tax implications, ensuring compliance with global tax regulations, and developing strategic tax planning initiatives to optimize the company's tax position. You will collaborate closely with internal finance teams and external advisors to navigate the intricacies of international taxation, minimizing tax liabilities while adhering to all legal and ethical standards. Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective international tax planning strategies to minimize global tax liabilities.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate tax regulations in all relevant jurisdictions, including transfer pricing.
  • Manage the preparation and filing of international tax returns and related documentation.
  • Conduct research on international tax laws and propose adjustments to tax strategies as needed.
  • Analyze the tax implications of cross-border transactions, mergers, acquisitions, and reorganizations.
  • Liaise with tax authorities and external tax advisors on complex international tax matters.
  • Identify and mitigate tax risks associated with international operations.
  • Stay informed about changes in tax legislation globally and assess their impact on the company.
  • Provide tax advice and support to business units operating internationally.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of tax control frameworks.
  • Mentor and guide junior members of the tax department.
Qualifications:
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA) with a minimum of 6 years of experience in corporate tax, with a strong emphasis on international tax.
  • Proven experience in international tax planning, transfer pricing, and compliance.
  • In-depth knowledge of major international tax treaties and cross-border tax regulations.
  • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex tax issues clearly.
  • Proficiency in tax software and financial modeling tools.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple complex projects in a remote setting.
  • Experience with ERP systems is advantageous.
