**Key Responsibilities:**
+ **Group Tax Accounting Review:** Conduct reviews of Group tax accounting positions, working with UK and overseas teams to ensure compliance and accuracy on key projects and transactions.
+ **Audit Management:** Own the management of processes related to the external audit of the Group's corporate income tax position, ensuring all necessary documentation and analyses are prepared and available on time.
+ **Tax Disclosures Preparation:** Prepare tax disclosures for the Group's Accounts and Stock Exchange announcements, including insights on the Group's effective tax rate and the anticipated impact of future events.
+ **Technical Analysis and Training:** Provide in-depth technical tax accounting analysis for non-routine transactions and potential business initiatives. Deliver technical tax accounting training to the wider tax team as needed, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
+ **Compliance and Control Maintenance** : Maintain the Sarbanes-Oxley control framework for corporate income tax-related processes, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
+ **Impact Analysis:** Prepare impact analyses regarding tax implications of future changes to Accounting Standards, ensuring the Group is well-prepared for any adjustments.
+ **Project Support:** Support ad hoc projects within the Global Tax team, contributing expertise and insights to enhance overall team performance.
**Qualifications / Requirements:**
+ Chartered Tax Advisor and/or Chartered Accountant.
+ Familiarity with IAS 12 or equivalent UK GAAP accounting standards is essential.
+ A minimum of two years post-qualification experience within the tax function of a large accountancy firm or multinational group.
+ Experience in tax reporting, particularly in statutory disclosure preparation or audit contexts.
+ A strong willingness to learn and grow within the role.

+ Stay current on emerging US GAAP and local GAAP guidance and tax law changes.
+ Identify and communicate tax provision risks and opportunities to internal stakeholders.
+ Mentor and develop staff on ASC 740 and other key tax concepts; provide performance feedback.
+ Maintain the income tax budget and support administrative functions.
+ Partner with internal tax, accounting, and finance teams, as well as external service providers.
+ Standardize and embed Group Tax Reporting processes to ensure compliance with US GAAP and SOX.
+ Drive continuous improvement in tax reporting processes through design, control, and operational enhancements.
**Ideal Experience and Skills.**
+ Recognised professional finance qualification.
+ Recognised tax qualification.
+ Proven experience in global tax reporting, including Group Tax Reporting.
+ Strong communication skills across all stakeholder levels.
+ High integrity and commitment to ethical standards.
+ Experience interpreting and managing control and operational risk.
+ Familiarity with US GAAP, IFRS, IAS 12, and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
+ Experience with FIN 48 and ASC 740.
