We’re looking for individuals who are passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people. As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with teachers and other support staff to help students achieve their Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) outcomes. You’ll play a vital part in empowering pupils with the confidence, tools, and skills they need to thrive in school and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide tailored support to students in line with individual learning needs and EHCPs
• Help develop students’ communication, social, and life skills through structured activities
• Assist in delivering high-quality learning both in the classroom and in community settings
• Promote a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff, therapists, and families
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to planning and progress reviews

Who We're Looking For

You’ll be someone who:

• Is compassionate, patient, and committed to supporting young people with autism and additional needs

• Understands or has an interest in autism and SEN
• Has relevant experience in an education, care, or support setting (preferred but not essential)
• Holds English and Maths at Grade C / 4 or above, or equivalent qualifications

As a Specialist Teaching Assistant, you will support students either one-on-one or in group settings throughout the school day. You will work with children aged 5-11 who have identified SEND needs. Your role will involve supporting pupils in the classroom, participating in specialist mentoring sessions, and assisting during some break times.
