Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Cambridge,UK
Contract: Full-Time, Term Time Only (Temporary to Permanent)

About the Role:

Simply Education is currently recruiting for a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant for a specialist school in Cambridge. The school supports students aged 6-19 with a range of needs including Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), ADHD, and other specific learning difficulties. This is a temporary-to-permanent position, offering the opportunity to make a long-term impact in a supportive and inclusive setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students on a 1:1 or small group basis
  • Assist in delivering individual education and behaviour plans
  • Support students' social, emotional, and academic development
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other staff
  • Support with personal care needs where required

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN
  • A calm, compassionate, and proactive approach
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3 or equivalent) preferred
  • Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
