**About the Role:**
As a CBRE Technical Sr. Manager, you will manage the team responsible for all mechanical operations, maintenance, communications, energy management, and workforce development programs for a facility, campus, or portfolio of buildings.
This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.
**What You'll Do:**
+ Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
+ Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.
+ Manage operations and maintenance for assigned facilities. Develop operating and capital budgets.
+ Recommend and implement improvements for preventive maintenance programs on an on-going basis. Create and maintain effective building-specific maintenance and safety procedure manuals.
+ Point of contact for maintenance efforts with outside contractors, tenant finish personnel and technicians.
+ Oversee all building systems including fire/life safety, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical issues. Must remain current with latest technology trends.
+ Maintain on-going communication with high profile tenants, clients, owners, facility management team and vendors.
+ Drive the acquisition of new management contracts. Facilitate the development of as-built drawings.
+ Respond to emergency situations (fire, evacuation, equipment failure etc.) and customer concerns.
+ Apply a broad knowledge of the business, own discipline, and how own discipline integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.
+ Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence others to adopt a different point of view while being guided by policies and departmental plans.
+ Identify and solve technical and operational problems of complexity.
+ Understand and recognize the broader impact across the department.
+ Improve and change existing methods, processes, and standards within job discipline.
**What You'll Need:**
+ Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5 - 8 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
+ Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.
+ Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.
+ Leadership skills to motivate the team to achieve broad operational targets with impacts on own job discipline, multiple job disciplines, and department.
+ In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
+ Extensive organizational skills and an advanced inquisitive mindset.

+ Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of electrical, mechanical, and cabling systems across mission-critical broadcast and data center environments.
+ Manage infrastructure projects from concept to completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and vendor selection & coordination.
+ Collaborate with IT, broadcast, and facilities teams to align infrastructure with evolving business needs and sustainability goals.
+ Develop and maintain engineering standards, documentation, operational procedures and compliance with UK and EU regulations.
+ Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programmes to ensure 24/7 system uptime.
+ Support capital planning and contribute to long-term infrastructure strategy.
+ Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.
+ Review and approve technical documentation, RFPs, and vendor deliverables.
+ Monitor performance metrics and drive continuous improvement in system reliability and operational efficiency.
**Qualifications & Experience.**
+ BEng in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering; or an equivalent combination of skills, training and experience.
+ Extensive experience in mission-critical facility engineering, including design, construction, and operations.
+ Strong experience in a leadership or management role
+ Knowledge of systems such as UPS, generators, HVAC, chillers, and structured cabling
+ Experience managing vendors, contracts, and cross-functional teams
+ Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
+ Chartered Engineer (CEng) or equivalent preferred
+ Experience with AutoCAD or similar design tools (e.g. Bluebeam)
+ Project Management certification would be beneficial (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP)
Onsite Working - This role is advertised as Onsite, meaning all working hours and days (regardless of shift pattern) will be carried out at the place of work. Subject to any applicable laws, WBD / your Line Manager reserves the right to change this working agreement, where this is essential to business needs and upon reasonable notice to you.
