**Your role and responsibilities**
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Support Engineer to join our dynamic team at the IBM Hursley Office. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in providing technical support, troubleshooting, and maintaining IT infrastructure, particularly within Windows and Linux environments in the public sector.
As a Technical Support Engineer you'll bring your technical expertise and problem-solving skills to our team, contributing to the management of basic to moderate production support tasks. Proven experience preparing technical specifications for complex engineering systems.
Strong understanding of ship systems and maritime regulations (SOLAS, Class Rules, etc.).
Excellent communication and project leadership skills, with the ability to engage across all levels.
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.



Desirable Qualifications & Experience:


Engineering Certificate of Competence (CoC).
Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or working towards it.
Experience managing capital budgets and supplier contracts.
