Collaboration is key, and we work together swiftly and respectfully, embracing adaptability and resilience in all we do. About the role We are looking for a Technical Product Manager to lead the development of Nscale’s generative AI cloud platform offerings. In this role, you will drive product delivery for features that enable our customers to train, fine-tune, and deploy AI models at scale. This is a highly technical and cross-functional position. You’ll work closely with design, cloud, product engineering, and AI teams to build tools for AI model training pipelines, fine-tuning workflows, and scalable inference services. A strong focus on delivery and release management is critical: you will coordinate projects across multiple teams to ensure on-time releases and smooth product launches. Additionally, you will collaborate with design and user research to gather feedback, ensuring our platform meets both technical and user needs. If you are passionate about building next-generation AI/ML products, thrive in a fast-paced Agile environment, and excel at collaborating with engineers to solve complex problems, then this role is for you. Responsibilities Work closely with software engineering, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to plan, refine, and prioritise the product roadmap. Ensure a deep understanding of each feature’s technical design and constraints, facilitating informed decision-making and trade-offs. Serve as the internal product owner coordinating cross-functional efforts. Define release scopes, manage sprint goals, and coordinate deployments across environments. Ensure on-time delivery of new features and improvements while maintaining rigorous quality standards. Monitor platform performance and infrastructure stability metrics (uptime, reliability, incident rates), especially during and after releases. Proactively address stability risks by coordinating fixes or improvements with engineering and operations. As an early product team member, you will help establish Nscale's product management processes and culture. You will implement workflows for requirements documentation, roadmap communication, and release retrospectives. You will also shape the way our product and engineering teams collaborate, setting a foundation for the product function's future growth. Implement best practices to build a product-driven culture within Nscale, ensuring development efforts are tightly aligned with user needs, feature velocity, and technical excellence. Requirements 5 years of product management (or related) experience in a software/tech environment, with a track record of driving complex technical projects. Experience in cloud infrastructure, developer platforms, or enterprise software is a strong plus. Demonstrated ability to work hands-on with software engineers and architects. Comfortable discussing architecture, APIs, DevOps processes, and technical trade-offs. You don’t need to write code daily, but you should be able to understand and communicate technical details effectively. Proven experience in release management or project management for software products. Able to break down broad initiatives into executable release plans and adept at juggling timelines, dependencies, and priorities to meet commitments. Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies. Capable of running sprint ceremonies and managing a product backlog. Exceptionally organised and detail-oriented, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks during fast-moving sprints. Familiarity with user research or customer feedback loops. Able to synthesise qualitative insights alongside technical considerations to inform product decisions. Data-driven approach to decision-making. Familiar with tracking team productivity and system performance metrics. Able to analyse KPIs (e.g., deployment frequency, outage reports) to identify areas for improvement and guide prioritisation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Comfortable interfacing with technical teams and translating plans and issues into clear, actionable terms. Prior experience as a software engineer, SRE/DevOps engineer, or similar technical role is highly valued and will help deeply engage with the engineering team.
