This role is central to the sales operation, supporting both new business development and existing client accounts. You will handle technical enquiries, prepare accurate quotations, coordinate with engineering teams, and ensure projects run smoothly from enquiry through to delivery.

Our nationwide Trenching and Shoring division hire a range of equipment across the construction, utilities and infrastructure industries to identify the correct solution to support excavations safely using trench boxes, trench sheets, and braces systems.
Reporting directly to the Regional Ops Manager, the Technical Sales Representative (TSR) will be responsible for maximising Trenching & Shoring hire revenue opportunities from existing major account customer and winning new business. This will include delivering sales presentations to our major account customers at a senior management level and attending depot/customer trade days to promote our product offering. TECHNICAL SALES ENGINEER - BASED BINLEY WOODS, COVENTRY - FULLTIME - PERMANENT - £25,000 to £35,000 - DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE
Our client are looking for a Technical Sales and Service Engineer - your role will be multi-tasking with both regular and new clients so COLD CALLING different industries is a part of this role. Booking appointments, arranging onsite visits, find out what their needs are and providing information on what we can offer moving forward.
All information from the appointment will need to be fed back into the service department accurately including details such as hours run, serial numbers and models.
The office will put the quotation together and you will be responsible for taking the quotation back in and presenting it, answering any questions and winning the business.
Main Duties:
On a daily basis you will be Cold calling, booking appointments and client visits
Accurately feeding service requests into the office, all serial numbers and information gathered needs to be accurate.
Serves customers by identifying their needs and fact finding.
Identifies current and future customer service requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual customers and others in a position to understand service requirements.
Establishes new service accounts by identifying potential customers and planning and organizing sales call schedule.
Presenting service quotations to potential new customers.
Determines improvements by analysing cost-benefit ratios of equipment or service applications in customer environment and engineering or proposing changes in equipment or use of materials or services.
Gains customer acceptance by explaining or demonstrating cost reductions and operations improvements.
Develops customer’s staff by providing technical information and training.
Complies with BCAS regulations etc by studying existing and new legislation and anticipating future legislation and opportunities.
Prepares sales order reports and completes logs.
Contributes to sales engineering effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues that must be addressed, recommending options and courses of action, and implementing directives.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
8.30AM – 5.00PM 30 minutes lunch.
Ideally Local to Coventry
Previously demonstrated organisation and time management skills are a must.
Role would suit someone who understands prioritising and grading customers.
IT Literate – proficient with sending emails, using excel, word etc.
Experience of using initiative in a previous role and taking the lead is desirable.

The duties of the 7.5 tonne Service Driver include loading, delivery and collection of hire equipment to and from the customer sites in a timely and professional manner. When on customer sites, there may be a requirement to carry out hire equipment demonstration and Service Drivers must ensure that all relevant checks and administration involved for the hire are completed accurately. The Service Driver will also be responsible for the service, cleaning and maintenance of portable toilets and welfare units.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving experience in a similar environment, driving responsibly and safely within the law at all times.
Applicants should demonstrate the following:
- Significant experience working within a driving role delivering and collecting equipment from customer sites
- Category C1+E driving licence and Driver CPC with a minimum of 35 hours completed
- Experience in towing would be an advantage however it is not essential
- An understanding of Health & Safety protocols and the ability to follow these guidelines in the workplace
- Excellent customer service skills and strong attention to detail
