A large construction company is seeking a Technical Services Manager to lead and manage the mechanical aspects of its construction & refurbishment projects across the UK and internationally. The Technical Services Manager will have a minimum HND in a relevant mechanical engineering qualification in construction, be experienced with mechanical design software, have strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and controls, and have experience within mechanical building services in a construction context. Ideally, the Technical Services Manager will be able to acquire DV security clearance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the mechanical services delivery on construction projects from pre-construction through to handover

  • Experience with mechanical design software

We’re representing a leading interior fit-out contractor that delivers high-end commercial spaces across London and the South East. They are now looking for an experienced Technical Services Manager to join their team to support both pre-construction and delivery across a range of fast-paced fit-out schemes.
This is a key technical role, bridging the gap between design and delivery. The ideal candidate will come from a mechanical or electrical subcontractor background or in a similar Technical Services Manager role , ideally with hands-on trade experience and a solid understanding of installation and commissioning .
The company delivers a mixture of Design & Build and traditional contracts , with project durations typically between 8–16 weeks , so you’ll need to be confident operating in a fast-moving fit-out environment.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Pre-Construction Support
  • Work closely with the pre-construction team to understand project briefs and specifications
  • Assist in the tender process including subcontractor coordination, reviewing design and pricing returns
  • Attend site visits and contribute to technical input for tender and pitch documents
  • Produce ERs, RFIs, and commissioning programmes
  • Recommend and assess supply chain partners, introduce new subcontractors, and support LTA processes

Construction Support
