What will you be doing?

We're seeking a talented individual to join our Client Screening team in Liverpool, which is responsible for performing the daily duties, checking and general processing of all Client Screening functions, in a timely and accurate basis, whilst ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The role holder will operate within defined standards and guidelines which are aligned to service level agreements and data quality controls.

As Technical Specialist - Client Screening, your responsibilities will include among others

  • Ensure that all tasks are completed to a high standard, any anomalies are reported to your line manager within agreed timescales and ensure that personal and team KPI's / KRI's / MIR are met.
  • Provide technical advice to assist in resolving issues or queries which arise within the team and contribute and assist with change initiatives relevant to the team.
  • Support the change management programme relevant to your area and be actively involved in the development and delivery of changes to operational and systems infrastructure.
  • Assist with training new recruits to the team in BAU activities, acting as a positive role model.
  • Ensure that fair treatment of clients is at the forefront of all activities, all interactions are conducted in an open and transparent manner and demonstrate an understanding of the risks to clients within their operation and how these will be mitigated.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the firms regulatory framework and how this applies to your role.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should

  • Settlement operations experience gained within a financial institution.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of investment management, including relevant terminology and knowledge of the regulatory environment and how it applies to and impacts your role.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages: Minimum basic level Word and intermediate level Excel.
  • Demonstrate ability to understand and summarise complex information in a professional and concise manner.
  • Strong Interpersonal skills are essential, with the ability to communicate well both written and verbally to senior audiences.

Desired

  • Experience of delegating and reviewing work advantageous but not essential.
  • Relevant professional qualification(s) desirable e.g. CISI Investment Operations Certificate.

The Bridge Studio is an and exciting new laboratory at UWE Bristol that aims to unite arts, humanities, design, engineering and computing, using advanced technologies within a unique, interdisciplinary 'collision space'. It will strengthen UWE's capability and expertise in physical and digital meta-production by providing a space for interdisciplinary, practice-based, design-led creative research. Leveraging academic and technical expertise, it will drive adoption of emerging technologies to stimulate novel forms of creative expression and production. The Robotic Technology Specialist will be responsible for leading the technical development, management, and support of robotic and digital fabrication technologies within The Bridge's Immersive Studio. This role will support academic research, industry collaboration, and creative practice across the University, ensuring that The Bridge Studios remains at the forefront of innovation in immersive technologies.

About you

The role holder should have an in-depth knowledge of the use of robotic arms (KUKA, UR or ABB) and robotic programming ideally with experience of applying these techniques in novel applications spanning fine art, design, creative technologies, computing and engineering. Also required is experience of robotic control and programming languages such as Python and ideally also ROS. It is desirable that the role holder is competent in digital and physical design, fabrication and curation practices: including but not limited to: 2D/3D design and manufacture, including 3D printers and CNC machine tools, using common CAD/CAM software packages (e.g. Rhino, Solidworks, AutoCAD, others as appropriate). Knowledge of PLC's and electronics is also desirable. A commitment to continuous professional development will be required to keep up to date with new technologies and address any skill gaps.

How will you make a difference?

Our Field Service Technical Advice Specialists are trained subject matter experts in diagnosing and troubleshooting our Powerhaul (Class 70) Locomotives. There is the option to undertake world-class training at our corporate training facility where you will become certified in troubleshooting locomotive electrical systems and advising on the maintenance of our locomotive engines.


What will your typical day look like?

  • Provide technical support and training during maintenance activities, working as part of a small team based at the customer site.
  • Communicate effectively with customer production teams and management, offering guidance on troubleshooting, materials, tooling, and locomotive status.
  • Analyse performance data.
  • Travel within the UK as required to support operational needs.


What do we want to know about you?

  • Full UK driving licence and willing to travel within the UK as required to support operational needs.
  • Engineering-related HNC/ONC or higher or equivalent.
  • Background in rolling stock or locomotive maintenance (desirable).
  • Strong mechanical and/or electrical aptitude.
  • Experience with large diesel engine maintenance.

The Technical Specialist (Audio) is a lead point of contact responsible for the planning, set up and operation of small to large-scale audio systems for live events while ensuring the utmost in client satisfaction. The position often requires the individual to act as a team leader for the onsite departmental teams, planning department resources and contributing towards department improvements. **Key Job Responsibilities**
**Event Planning**
+ Assist project managers to help determine audio equipment needs and technical solutions for events.
+ Determine and secure the resources required to successfully complete each project including internal and external resources liaising with freelancers and suppliers.
+ Contribute to technical drawings using Vectorworks.
+ Use simulation software (eg. D&B ArrayCalc) to design PA systems for events.

We are seeking a Senior Technical Specialist to join their Deeside team.

Position Overview:

The Senior Technical Specialist within the Physical Testing department is responsible for providing technical input for all operations with the laboratory, ensuring accurate and efficient testing of raw materials and product to meet regulatory requirements. Note: This role will work with products from all of business units.

The role requires working closely with the Team Leads in the department, developing and validating new novel test methods and implementing standard methodologies.

This role is crucial in designing and implementing test protocols, maintaining laboratory equipment end ensuring compliance with quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To act as a technical expert on behalf of the T&I organization by providing advice, guidance and expertise in Physical Testing and Material Science.
  • Within a design control framework, lead scientific projects and provide full physical testing support, including test method development/validation, design verification/validation testing.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to manufacturing sites; support research and trouble-shooting activities, define and execute strategies for method validations and transfer of methods when required.
  • Lead equipment qualification and calibration activities in accordance with company procedures, including software validation activities for the deployment of equipment software packages within the Physical Testing Laboratory.
  • Further develop the technical expertise of the department through research, training, procurement of equipment and software, and managing relationship with vendors, industrial and academic contacts.
  • Update, review, approve technical data, test results, protocols, reports, compliance records and general laboratory documentation.
  • Collaborate with relevant project and departmental managers to effectively co-ordinate workloads, timelines and priorities within the department.
  • To keep abreast of current literature to continuously develop physical testing methods using best practice to investigate new technologies and business opportunities.
  • Maintain an awareness of the status of core technical challenges and opportunities in areas of expertise for physical testing.
  • Identify and lead investigations for NC/OOS/Deviations/Change controls in relation to physical testing procedures and processes; ensure prompt resolution of identified problems and provide appropriate recommendations for remedial/corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with team members to plan, direct and implement continuous improvements in lab systems and processes.
  • Provide technical oversight and resolution of any physical testing NPD/ Life cycle management technical issues.
  • Deliver in-direct scientific or technical mentorship and leadership to analysts to enable them to meet their project objectives, including training in physical test methods.
  • Work collaboratively to build technical communities across different functional groups.
  • Support lab analysts in daily laboratory operations and interface with functional groups on scientific issues, study design and project technical requirements.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication channels to provide accurate information and communicate issues, gaps and constraints to management and wider teams.
  • Ensure highest levels of safety in accordance with EHS policies by creating and maintaining Risk Assessments and COSHH assessments.

Qualifications/Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Science/ Technical/ Engineering and approx. 7+ years of Med Device/ Pharmaceutical Laboratory work experience with increasing responsibilities.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of compliance with FDA and European regulations relating to Quality Systems (IS :2016 and FDA 21 CFR Part 820) and GMP Guidelines and Regulation.
  • Strong background in Physical Testing ; significant experience, track record and knowledge within a physical testing environment or Material Science background
  • Microsoft Office skills are essential.

Skills & Experience:

  • Strong experience working in Medical Device/Pharmaceutical Industry within an R&D/product development role.
  • Ensures use of good scientific practice and the development and validation of appropriate methods for testing.
  • Designs and constructs a series of analysis to understand complex technical issues and to evaluate new technologies and business opportunities.

  • You will be providing support to the team by completing routine SMR reporting essential for the role and the team.
