This national fire and security systems installer and service provider is looking for a self-motivated BDM to cover the Southampton and the surrounding South Coast area. The successful applicant will be responsible for the self-generation of new business covering both installations and service contracts across the fire detection, life safety and security systems disciplines, managing, and building relationships with new clients to increase revenue, although there will be some existing clients to work with as well. Candidates will be expected to conduct surveys, giving help with the design of systems (working with the design team), ideally a good understanding of all relevant BS regulations. This exciting opportunity comes with a basic salary of 40,000 to 45,00 depending on skill set, uncapped commission, a car or allowance, a benefits package, and good opportunities for self-development and promotion. Security Systems Engineer – Role and Responsibilities:

  • I stall and maintain security systems, including CCTV, access control, intruder alarms, and other related systems.
  • Conduct regular servicing and testing of security systems to ensure their operational effectiveness and compliance with regulations.
  • Fault diagnosis and repair, ensuring systems are fully operational and meet client requirements.
  • Perform system upgrades and modifications to meet changing client needs and updated industry standards.
  • Ensure all work complies with British Standards, health and safety regulations, and company procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records, including service reports, installation logs, and maintenance documentation.
  • Collaborate with other engineers and teams to ensure smooth and efficient project delivery.

Security Systems Engineer – Skills & Experience:

    < i>Strong technical knowledge of security systems, including CCTV, access control & intruder alarms.
  • Proven experience in the installation, maintenance, and servicing of security systems.
  • Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and system specifications.
  • Familiarity with British Standards and security industry regulations.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Methodical, detail-oriented approach to work.
  • A commitment to health and safety practices in all tasks.
  • Full UK driving licence or equivalent.
  • Experience with various manufacturers and systems.
