Part of Xodus Group, Evolv Energies is at the forefront of major international projects where we bring a unique, integrated perspective and specialist engineering expertise to support offshore developers, investors and the wider construction and installation supply chain through Concept, Pre-FEED, FEED and Detailed Design and also across Construction and Installation activities, predominately in relation to offshore wind, interconnectors and energy transition projects.
Role: Our Project Engineers and Senior Project Engineers will have the ability to work on a variety of project scopes including, offshore wind (fixed and floating), and subsea cables (transmission and distribution) projects. You will be accountable for the delivery of assigned project engineering scopes (including tendering and delivery) with the opportunity to be either technically focused or equally for those progressing towards project management.
Primary Roles & Responsibilities include:- Leading assigned project engineering and package management deliverables on international projects.
- Lead and provide project engineering input into tenders and project deliverables.
- Liaise and collaborate with internal stakeholders such as TA’s, SME’s and other discipline Engineers.
- Ensuring projects and tenders are delivered in accordance with both Evolv Energies and Client engineering requirements whilst equally ensuring quality assurance throughout.
- Working effectively on several projects concurrently to deliver challenging targets.
- Working collaboratively with our multi-disciplined engineering team.
Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience with a background in Engineering, Naval Architecture, Surveying or Marine Operations with a strong engineering and operational knowledge and experience in Marine / Offshore construction projects and operations associated with offshore wind and ideally subsea cable projects.
- Must have demonstrable expertise in the offshore renewables sector and detailed understanding of engineering and operational deliverables through project development, delivery and operations & maintenance. Knowledge of CDM would be a bonus.
- Ability to communicate at all levels in the organisation and to key stakeholders out with the organisation.
- A can do proactive attitude with a proven history of interfacing and collaborating across multi-discipline teams to support decision making and due diligence process and achieve outcomes.

We're currently recruiting for a Project Engineer to join our water team working closely with our strategic partner Southern Water to deliver a range of clean water and wastewater projects under the AMP8 Framework. In this role you'll report to the Project Manager and providing management and engineering support to deliver the design development, construction, commissioning, and transfer into use supply of various water and wastewater projects during AMP8.
Location : Flexible and will vary depending on the location of the project.

What will you be responsible for?
As a Project Engineer, you'll be working within the Southern Water team, supporting them in ensuring the project is delivered in line with Kier's and Thames Water's KPIs.
Your day to day will include:
- Analysing and interpreting preconstruction information (PCI), Southern Water standards, and industry good practise, to ensure design solutions meet their requirements.
- Solving problems and ensuring the development of coordinated and integrated design solutions relating to Mechanical or Civils work scope.
- Ensuring the production of all necessary design deliverables by supply chain partners such as specifications, models, drawings, data sheets and schedules required for the delivery of the project.
- Ensuring that design solutions include specific design risk assessments and consider innovation, best value, safety, and delivery programme.
- Collaborating with the procurement team in identification, selection, technical appraisal and appointment of suppliers and sub-contractors to deliver the Mechanical work scope.
What are we looking for?
This role of Project Engineer is great for you if you hold:
- Relevant technical qualification (NVQ L3 / HNC / Degree) and membership of a relevant Professional Body/Institution.
- Demonstrable experience within the water sector or similar regulated sector.
- Demonstrable experience of significant contributions to hazard reduction workshops such as Structured What-If-Technique (SWIFT), Access, Lifting & Maintenance (ALM), HAZ-ID, or similar workflows.
- Knowledge and experience of the main management systems and processes used within a similar large multidisciplinary design and build projects.
