We're looking for a Quality Control Inspector to join our clients team on a temp to perm basis . You'll be inspecting electrical, electronic, optical and mechanical parts, keeping accurate records, and helping resolve any defects.
What you'll do:
- Inspect incoming parts, sub-assemblies and finished products
- Record and report defects, quarantine faulty items
- Use measuring tools (verniers, micrometres, gauges) to check tolerances
- Calibrate and maintain inspection equipment
- Support continuous improvement and quality standards
What we're looking for:
- Experience in an engineering/machine shop environment
- Strong attention to detail and able to read engineering drawings
- Confident with inspection tools; CMM experience is a plus
- Good knowledge of electro-mechanical equipment
- Reliable, motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
You will be working a 9 day fortnight so will have alternative Fridays off and the hours are 8.00am - 4.45pm Monday to Thursday and 8.00am - 4.30pm Fridays.

Our client has an exciting opportunity for someone to join their team on a UK eyes-only project as a Quality Control Inspector working on challenging and exciting world-leading defence projects.
The Quality Control Inspector will ensure that all Quality standards are achieved for both manufactured and purchased component products.
You will provide the final point of inspection for the products, maintain reports and performance metrics and raise quality non-conformance reports (NCR), support the problem resolution process, including Containment, Root Cause Analysis, and Corrective and Preventative Actions.
The successful candidate must possess the ability to solve simple problems, provide operable solutions, and act with minimal direction on their own initiative.

What You'll Be Doing
Performing detailed inspections at every stage of the production process, up to final delivery
Checking rebar and cages against technical drawings and models
Conducting pre-pour inspections (dimensions, fittings, concrete cover)
Monitoring Quality Assurance Record (QAR) compliance
Identifying, investigating, and reporting issues
Raising and distributing Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)
Supporting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Preventative Action (PA) activities
Conducting cover checks, crack surveys, and pull testing
Assessing remedial works and green-tagging units for approval
Completing Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs) to ensure load readiness

Job Overview:
Quality Control Inspector will be responsible for the control and compliance of product within the Quality Control inspection department in accordance with current manufacturing and Quality assurance procedures; engineering drawing and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify the conformity of parts, assemblies and sub-assemblies in line with engineering drawings, the quality management system and any special customer requirements.
- Responsible for comprehensive completion and auditable traceability of inspection records.
- Support Production with the timely verification of batch first off.
- Create and compile First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs).
- Carry out inspection duties across all areas of the manufacturing and supply chain process as required.
- Identify and report non conformance as per the Company procedure.
- Ensure compliance with Quality Assurance and HSE policies and procedures at all times.
- Processing process and return (P&R) documentation for parts despatched for external processing.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Able to interpret and understand technical data including customer drawings, specifications and FAIR documentation.
