Deliver local and personalised social care services to vulnerable adults with learning disabilities and autism.

Where? Sheffield
About the role:
The role will include supporting 16-25-year-olds who have Autism, Learning Difficulties, and Mental Health difficulties. Students live in houses in and around Sheffield, with their peers and staff. The goal is to develop their independent living skills and participate fully in the running of the household, including meal planning, shopping, social activities, and household tasks. Staff will work closely with students to ensure they get the support they need to learn how to live more independently and make safe decisions.
The Residential Support Worker will need to:
• Be a patient and caring approach when providing all aspects of care
• Be strong-willed and comfortable with challenging behaviour
• Have experience in one-to-one support to encourage independence and raise self-esteem
• Respect privacy and dignity at all times
• Be flexible and adaptable
What do you need?
• Child & Adult DBS
• Right to work in the UK and Photo ID eg: Passport, Sharecode, Driving License or Birth Certificate and National Insurance Letter
What are the shifts?
Shifts are available Monday – Sunday, AM (08:00 – 16:00), PM (15:30 – 22:00) as well as sleep-ins and waking nights (21:30 – 08:30) so there’s usually something to suit everyone
Criteria to be considered for the role?
You must have at least 3 months experience working with SEND and vulnerable young people. Ideally a Child and Adult DBS on the update service
