**A little more about your role .**
This vacancy is intended for those interested in delivering courses as part of the Lincolnshire Road Safety Partnership (LRSP). You will be joining a team of trainers who collectively deliver road safety training and initiatives both virtually and face-to-face in Lincoln.
This is not a full-time role and will not suit those looking for full-time or fixed/regular work. The role will suit those looking to make a difference to road safety within the region and who are happy to work on an ad-hoc, hourly-paid basis. The LRSP team will assign training courses to approved trainers based on the availability of trainers each quarter.
An application to this vacancy is an application to be considered to join the pool of approved trainers. Responsibilities include:
+ Being responsible for the delivery of LRSP's suite of local road safety training and initiatives, including the management of clients, courses, and service users.
+ Work independently, without supervision in a variety of locations and professional settings
+ Where necessary, manage conflict and dissatisfied clients, taking the appropriate action in challenging circumstances in-line with the LRSP's trainer handbook.
+ Provide support to the wider Education, Training and Engagement teams of LRSP
+ Participate in internal and external assessment procedures, ensuring compliance with national directives and fulfilling a commitment to continuing professional development.
+ Conduct dynamic risk assessments to ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of those in attendance; reporting any issues as outlined in the trainer handbook.
+ Maintain compliance with UKROEd Trainer Licence Agreement.
+ Maintain competences in your training skill set, ensuring qualifications are current and relevant in relation to local and national deliverables and mandatory requirements, including all mandatory and requested courses via Lincs2Learn and CPD through UKROEd Academy.
+ Provide a dynamic and responsive training service through a flexible approach to availability.
+ Support links between LRSP and road safety professional bodies such as UKROEd, RSGB, the Institute of Advanced Motorists and RoSPA.
+ Maintain compliance with UKROEd Trainer Licence Agreement.
**Your Team**
+ Based in the vibrant and historic county of Lincolnshire, working in partnership with Lincolnshire County Council, you will report to a Training Supervisor.
+ You will fulfil a pivotal role in the delivery of national offender re-training.
**What we will be looking for you to demonstrate.**
+ A full UKROEd licence to deliver national speed awareness courses or other NDORS courses.
+ A training/teacher qualification and proven experience in a training/teaching capacity.
+ Knowledge of road safety training methods and a comprehensive understanding of relevant road safety legislation and good practice.
+ The ability to deliver to a diverse range of audiences, in challenging circumstances and within a set timeframe.
+ A high level of communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
+ Excellent knowledge of the Highway Code and the ability to make reference to the Highway Code during courses.
+ The technology to maintain compliance with the minimum I.T. specifications (operating system), to ensure technical capability in delivery.
+ An internet connection - broadband wired or wireless (3G or 4G/LTE)
+ Speakers and a microphone - built-in, USB plug-in, or wireless Bluetooth
+ A webcam or HD webcam - built-in, USB plug-in, or:
+ An HD cam or HD camcorder with a video-capture card
+ Virtual camera software for use with broadcasting software like OBS or IP cameras
+ A willingness to undertake an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check and be to register on the annual update service.
