Our client, a leading manufacturer within the commercial interiors building product sector is recruiting for a Fire Testing and Certification Lead to join the team in a senior, hands-on office-based role in Hampshire.
This position is ideal for a professional who understands the technical, regulatory, and practical aspects of fire safety product testing and certification, and is ready to hit the ground running.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the company’s fire product testing programme, overseeing product compliance, and ensuring the meeting of rigorous requirements of third-party certification. A high level of accountability and attention to detail is expected, as this role is essential to ensuring ongoing compliance and supporting both internal teams and external stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Oversee production of the product at the manufacturing facility to ensure full compliance with test evidence and certification parameters.
- Provide customer-facing support as required — answering technical queries from clients regarding test evidence, certification scope, installation limitations, and compliance.
- Attend off-site fire testing, including overnight stays as required (expenses covered).
To apply we are seeking someone with proven experience in fire safety product testing, passive fire protection, or a closely related compliance / technical role.
As well as being proficient in CAD software with the ability to produce and review accurate technical drawings and being organised and methodical, with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility.
This is a high-expectation role and would suit a confident individual looking to step into a position with real responsibility and the opportunity to make an impact on fire safety compliance within a reputable company.
You will be given autonomy and responsibility from day one, with support from experienced colleagues where needed. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to shape and strengthen the company’s compliance and testing function while given ongoing training to stay at the forefront of industry standards.
On offer is a salary of £50,000 to £60,000 maybe more depending on experience plus car allowance after probation, 31 days annual leave including Bank Holidays and company wellness programme.
