Typically, this person will design, configure, verify, and test systems for MoD and Government projects. The role includes liaising with project offices, defining equipment specifications, supporting trials, and ensuring all work meets project specifications and security requirements. Some travel to customer sites and flexibility for MoD/Gov support duties will be required.

Duties and responsibilities of the Systems Engineer (MoD/Gov):

  • Design and configure systems for MoD/Gov projects in accordance with project specifications
  • Liaise with project offices to ensure timely and accurate delivery of assigned work

  • Define equipment lists, specifications, and IP structures for new projects
  • Provide technical documentation, drawings, and configuration details for each project
  • Conduct site visits in support of installation, commissioning, and trials
  • Support customer meetings, providing technical expertise and solutions

  • Act as part of the Duty MoD/Gov engineer rota as required

Qualifications and requirements for the Systems Engineer (MoD/Gov):

  • Must hold, or have the ability to obtain, DV (Developed Vetting) Security Clearance
  • Minimum degree-level qualification in an engineering, IT, or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • Broad ICT and/or satellite communications experience is desirable
  • Cisco CCNA (or equivalent network qualification) preferred
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Flexible, proactive, and capable of working independently
  • Full UK driving licence

**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Work in compliance with regulatory, global, and site quality guidelines, Follow procedures accurately in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures
+ Ensure changes to electronic systems are fully documented and performed in a controlled manner, and Develop qualification documentation (CC, IQ's, OQ's, PQ's, etc.)

Our client, a global leader in renewable energy technology, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Electrical Systems Engineer to join their esteemed engineering division. This is a critical on-site role requiring deep expertise in the design, development, and implementation of complex electrical systems for advanced energy storage solutions. You will be responsible for leading a team of electrical engineers, driving innovation, and ensuring the reliability and performance of our client's cutting-edge products.

The ideal candidate will have a robust background in electrical engineering, with a proven track record in power electronics, grid integration, and control systems. You will be proficient in schematic design, PCB layout, system integration, and validation testing. Your role will involve close collaboration with mechanical engineers, software developers, and project managers to deliver high-quality, robust electrical solutions that meet stringent industry standards. As a Lead Engineer, you will mentor junior staff, contribute to strategic technical decisions, and champion best practices in electrical engineering.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the electrical system design and development lifecycle for new energy storage products.
  • Design and develop schematics, single-line diagrams, and power distribution systems.
