A steel contractor in Harrow is looking for a Setting Out Engineer to join their team, working on a variety of structural steel projects across London. In this role, you will take responsibility for surveying and alignment works, ensuring accuracy, quality, and safety on site.
Salary : £50,000 - £65,000 per annum
Key Responsibilities:
- Surveying and setting out of structural steel projects.
- Conduct pre-start base inspections, structural alignments, and as-built surveys.
- Process and report survey data to support project teams.
- Work closely with site teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure accuracy and quality.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Qualified site surveyor (CSCS or equivalent) with experience in structural steel setting out.
- Experience operating total stations and producing survey data for steel projects.
- Familiarity with CAD/BIM software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D) and surveying equipment such as Leica, Trimble, or GNSS systems.
- Strong attention to detail, organised, and able to work independently or collaboratively.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
