Our client, a highly regarded hospitality group known for its exceptional events and guest experiences, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Event Operations Manager to join their team in Brighton. This on-site role is integral to the seamless execution of a wide range of events, from large-scale conferences and weddings to intimate corporate gatherings. You will be responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of event delivery, ensuring client satisfaction and adherence to brand standards. This includes managing venue setup, coordinating catering and beverage services, supervising event staff, and overseeing the logistics of equipment and audiovisual requirements. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in event management, exceptional organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You will work closely with sales, marketing, and culinary teams to create memorable experiences for our clients and their guests.

- Plan, coordinate, and execute all operational aspects of events held at the venue.
- Manage event timelines, staffing schedules, and vendor logistics to ensure smooth operation.
- Oversee venue setup and breakdown, ensuring adherence to event layouts and client specifications.
- Coordinate with catering and bar teams to ensure seamless service delivery and quality control.
- Supervise and train event staff, providing clear direction and support during events.
- Manage inventory of event supplies, linens, and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels.
- Liaise with clients to understand their event needs and ensure all requirements are met.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any operational issues that may arise during events.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations within the venue.
- Manage relationships with external suppliers and contractors, such as AV technicians and decorators.
- Conduct post-event evaluations to identify areas for improvement.
- Contribute to the development of event service standards and operational procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Event Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in event operations management, preferably within the hospitality or events industry.
- Proven experience in managing a variety of events, including conferences, banquets, and corporate functions.
- Strong understanding of event logistics, catering, AV, and venue operations.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by event schedules.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Team leadership experience is highly desirable.
