Salary: £28,000 - £8,500 depending on experience

Continuing the extremely successful growth of our training consultancy business, we are looking to recruit high calibre individuals with experience or interest in Education, Learning & Development and Training to join our team to enhance our existing capabilities.

You will be working with project teams with clients across a variety of sectors including Defence, Rail, Nuclear, Health and Government.

You will be employed as a training designer, producing learning and training material. You will be given the opportunity to develop your experience and skillset by working alongside our training specialists. You will assist them in the delivery of elements from the education or training lifecycle, covering needs analysis, instructional design, delivery, and assurance.

This may see you working at the client’s site or at one of our offices as part of a multi-disciplinary project team. You will seek to apply innovative and creative skills to your training design work, producing interesting and interactive solutions that reflect the needs of the client.

The training solutions will be varied, and the design solutions may include e-learning, virtual reality, augmented reality, simulation and emulation.

At Frazer-Nash, we will support your career development so that you achieve further professional qualifications including Chartership. You will be assigned a mentor who will work with you to develop your own personal development plan.

You will be supported and receive guidance from experienced and driven training specialists and training consultants.

Requirements

The successful applicant will meet the following minimum requirements:

- A degree level of education in a training design relevant subject or proven relevant experience in this field.

- Familiarity and/ or experience of design software (For example Articulate, Captivate, Moodle.)

- You must be willing to travel to client sites and alternative offices to deliver work

- Prepared to work towards a chartered status in either CMI, CIPD, Learning & Performance Institute

Desirables

- A chartered status with either CMI, CIPD, Learning & Performance Institute

- Experience in working to an assured systematic approach to training (ADDIE)

- Experience in developing innovative technology-enabled solutions.

- Experience in online education and training programmes and platforms

- Experience in working collaboratively and in multi-disciplinary teams

The opportunity:

We are seeking to recruit an experienced Horticultural Training Specialist who will be responsible for the training of our interior and exterior service technicians including assessing training needs for new starters, delivering plant induction programmes and ongoing plant training and development.

The role is a permanent Hybrid role based out of our beautiful HQ in Henham  (CM22 6AA), enjoying a rural location, where lunch is provided onsite daily and ample parking.  As well as on our client sites in and around central London. Working hours are 40 hours per week and can sometimes involve early starts from 6am to be on site with our technicians.

Key deliverables:

  • To contribute to the assessment of candidates as part of the recruitment process, providing feedback on the technician baseline for all suitable candidates
  • To deliver the plant induction for all new field service technicians
  • To develop and deliver training as part of the Training Academy for field service
  • To provide feedback to Service Managers on competence of the service technicians (based on ‘in the field’ coaching and support from the Training Specialist)
  • To provide training, coaching and support as and when required to the field service teams and other departments as agreed

Requirements

What you will need:

We would welcome applications from the following with relevant experience in Horticulture, Horticultural training, landscaping, Training practices, Horticultural Managers

  • Experience working as a field service technician to an excellent standard
  • Experience of delivering excellent customer service 'in the field'
  • Experience of coaching and mentoring other team members
  • Experience delivering training programmes to team members would be desirable
  • Excellent knowledge of interior plants and horticulture
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Good organizational skills; able to multitask
  • Excellent knowledge of using Mobile Nav as a technician

You'll collaborate closely with Commercial Leaders, Operating Units, and Learning & Development peers across the Western Europe region. While your base location is flexible within Europe, occasional travel (approximately 20-30%) is expected to support key live sessions, strategic workshops, or stakeholder meetings. You will report to the Commercial Training Manager Western Europe and be part of the Global Commercial Office organization.
**Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:**
+ Deliver our Harmonized Commercial Skills programs to mixed audiences (diversity in country, OU, & tenure) in several formats (virtual/live classroom, 1:1, eLearning, blended, TTT, pilots, OU - Operating Unit meetings, .)
+ Contribute to the development of content that is aligned with our Commercial Skills Training Vision (Driving Global Commercial Training programs harmonization & piloting customized programs answering teams or OUs specific priorities)
+ Key areas include Leadership, Management, Coaching, Consultative Selling, Value Selling, Remote Selling, Strategic Research, Stakeholder Mapping, Account Planning, Business Review, Negotiations
+ Partner with OUs to drive program adoption and ultimately generate a significant business impact
+ Pro-actively identify opportunities for improvements and integrate into existing and new programs
+ Identify key talents within Medtronic and create a network of champions/ambassadors with success stories
+ Drive the adoption of selected innovative tools that support our audiences before, during and after their training
**Required Knowledge and Experience:**
+ Degree in Business, Healthcare or Engineering sciences (MSc / MBA preferred)
+ Sales, Marketing and/or Sales Management experience with proven track record (+5 years)
+ Fluent in English and German (written/spoken)
+ Training certification in areas such as sales skills, coaching, sales management, marketing
+ Strong live/virtual presentation skills gained by delivering trainings/programs/events
+ Worked in an international environment, with a matrix org chart and remote teams (+5 year)
+ Ability to promote a respectful and positive work culture where team comes before self
