Locations: Oxfordshire/Berkshire
Candidates must have the following skills, experience, and qualifications to be considered:
- Assessor Award TAQA, A1, D32/33 or equivalent li>Teaching Qualification PTLLS or equivalent
- Level 3-5 Qualification in Child Care, Early Years, CYPW or equivalent li>Occupational management experience within the Childcare Industry
- Experience assessing vocational qualifications within the workplace
You will receive:
- Salary up to £33k li>Company car
- Free breakfast when at the Head Office and subsidised lunch
- Partnership Reward Days – up to 20 additional days of annual leave per year (as long as they have no sickness) < i>Employee-owned, which means there is potential for a tax-free partnership dividend payment (company performance dependent)

We are seeking an Electrical Training Officer to join a local training provider. This role is crucial for training, developing, and supporting trainees to achieve the required technical, safety, environmental, and behavioural standards necessary to meet the needs of our customers and the requirements of the EFSA/DFE, Apprenticeship Levy, and Apprenticeship Standards training programmes.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Prepare and deliver training sessions in accordance with the programme and timetables to meet the funding ESFA/DFE, Apprenticeship Levy, and Employer Company requirements.
- Ensure that Health & Safety is adhered to in line with company policy and legal requirements.
- Assess and test trainee progress and deliver complete training in line with Apprenticeship Standards, Ofsted requirements, and ESFA/Apprenticeship levy funded programmes.
- Develop and review lesson plans and implement improvements to delivery, responding to course evaluation and feedback.
- Monitor, assess, review, and provide feedback and recommend improvements to trainees on their progress.
- Engage proactively with other training officers to support and encourage a culture focused on health and safety and good housekeeping standards.
- Act as a mentor to a group of trainees, ensuring their performance, identifying, discussing, and resolving their problems as far as reasonably practicable.
- Promote personal development, creating and maintaining an environment in which trainees can realise and achieve their full potential.
- Safeguard learners to ensure that they are learning in a safe environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Relevant industrial/academic experience to a minimum of level 3 standard.
- 3 years of experience within Electrical Engineering area.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Hold or working towards Level 3 Award in Education and Training, CTLLS, NVQ Level 3 in Direct Training & Support, A1 and/or V1 (D32/D33/D34), Cert. Ed. (Desirable).
- Excellent IT skills.

Working as part of a team, the training officer will develop training material, provide direct training and assess competence across the department of Laboratory Animal Technologies. They will also support the development, introduction and publication of new procedures/techniques/technologies.
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
+ Providing classroom, group and on-the-job training
+ Identifying training needs and producing supporting training materials and structured lesson plans to support the training of staff in routine procedures
+ Devising and developing new techniques and supporting the development of competencies in others to implement new techniques
+ Monitoring the completion of training records
+ Managing the on-boarding of new hires in LAT including weekend working staff
+ Supporting the delivery of IAT qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
+ Home Office personal licence holder
+ Level 3 Education/Training qualification
+ Level 3 IAT qualification
+ Demonstrable practical and technical skills in an animal house environment
+ Experience in a similar role is beneficial, however this is not mandatory.
+ The ability to work well as part of a team as well as autonomously
