Emtech are working with a growing Engineering Consultancy who are looking for a Transport Planner to join their London office of over 150 staff. The London Transport Planning team is 15 people working on a wide range of challenging projects, mainly mid to large scale schemes.
Some of their recent projects include transport assessments for large mixed-use developments, masterplanning the regeneration of town centres, and travel plans for business parks, transport strategies for regeneration pojects and large aviation schemes both in and out of London. You will have the opportunity to become involved in a wide variety of exciting projects and be part of a pro-active and results-driven team with an expanding workload.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Supporting planning applications through the preparation of Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, Delivery & Servicing Plans, Construction Logistics Plans and transport chapters of Environmental Statements;
- Analysis of survey information, data and transport networks;
- Developing access, parking, servicing and street design solutions and identifying mitigation strategies;
- Liaising with clients and other professionals including architects and town planners; and
- Supporting bidding and business development activity.
Desired Skills, Experience & Requirements:
- 2+ years of transport planning experience
- A degree in a relevant subject
- Effective and professional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Attention to detail and strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with transport planning policy and best practice including relevant design standards

In this role you will be working in a growing transport team with a 5 year plan in place to double the team size offering staff the chance to move into more senior roles. This role will give you the chance to take on project running responsibility with support from experienced team members.
Projects exist across residential, commercial, education, healthcare and mixed use developments schemes.
Ideally you will have some of the following experience:
- Experience in private sector development planning projects including the production of Transport Assessments and Travel Plans
