Purpose of the role

Responsibilities

Supply Chain strategy

  • Work with the Head of Supply Chain Operations to help define and implement the Phoebe Philo supply chain strategy, focusing on Upstream Logistics

Inbound logistics

  • Manage shipments of samples (raw materials and product development), raw materials shipments and finished goods shipments

  • Create quotations for import/export, consolidating shipments where possible to achieve best price and service

  • Check supplier documentation is correct for each shipment, including pre-advice for DCs
  • Resolve issues during the shipping period, communicating any delays to the relevant departments
  • Track KPIs for quality, efficiency, sustainability and compliance
  • Identify issues and opportunities, and take actions to improve performance
  • Maintain awareness of customs compliance updates and regulations to facilitate logistics


Quality control

  • Ensure that inbound QC processes are carried out correctly upon arrival of finished goods shipments at Alpi to the specification of Phoebe Philo’s QC teams
  • Work with the QC teams to resolve any issues
  • Track KPIs for accuracy and efficiency of the QC process
  • Identify issues and opportunities, and take actions to improve performance

Storage

  • Manage putaway and storage of stock at Alpi
  • Develop and update the operating procedures for putaway and storage, and ensure that these are implemented at Alpi
  • Develop, update and deliver training on how to correctly carry out the operating procedures
  • Work with the Alpi on-site coordinator to ensure that procedures are being followed every day
  • Regularly visit the Alpi warehouse to help ensure that this quality control is working and to engage with the Alpi teams to develop relationship with them, guide and motivate them
  • Track KPIs for quality, efficiency, sustainability and compliance
  • Identify issues and opportunities, and take actions to improve performance

Inventory management

  • Support channel and product teams on process of collating production orders
  • Support Collections, Digital, Private Client and Wholesale on actioning allocation and re-allocation of stock across channels, in order to maximise availability and sell-through
  • Ensure master data is regularly and accurately maintained to support business processes
  • Ensure accuracy of inventory and cost data for financial reporting

Compliance and sustainability

  • Continuously research and stay abreast of relevant developments in legislation
  • Help collect data on sustainability for the company’s overall sustainability reporting

Planning and budgeting

Day-to-Day activities could include:
