Purpose of Role

To coordinate the delivery and shipment of customer orders to destinations worldwide, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant despatch of goods while maintaining strong communication with customers, suppliers, and freight partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping agents, and carriers to coordinate and despatch customer orders by sea, air, or road.

Skills, Experience & Competencies

  • Previous experience in export shipping, freight forwarding, or logistics coordination.
  • Must have experience (past/present) in working with Dangerous Goods (DGR/DGSA).
  • Strong knowledge of export documentation and customs compliance requirements (EU and ROW).
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities.
  • Strong communication skills for effective liaison with customers, carriers, and internal teams.

The Role:

As our Junior Shipping Administrator, you will be accountable for system updates and internal communications relating to the shipment of product.

As our Junior Shipping Administrator, you will be responsible for:

• Entering data and setting up new shipments onto the in-house system, providing visibility companywide on future stock arrivals. Liaising with suppliers on email to ensure we have all the correct information for each shipment. 
• Liaising with Account Managers and other departments within the business, ensuring we are keeping all shipment info up to date.
• Applying freight forwarder charges to the shipment to enable the Operations Manager to allocate the stock in preparation for Warehouse put-away.
• Raising debits to suppliers based upon discrepant received quantities / supplier non-conformance.
• Liaising with the Import Planning team on a regular basis to ensure the efficient upkeep of internally stored information.
• Liaising with suppliers on email to ensure we have the correct shipment details.
• Receiving all email documents as well as originals from suppliers, checking all Information Is correct, then logging on the system and forwarding onto all relevant parties.

• High-level of organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage conflicting and competing demands effectively
