We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative SMART Technology Consultant with expertise in SMART infrastructure solutions for transport-related projects such as airports, metro stations, ports, roads, and tunnels. The ideal candidate must have expertise in Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and smart mobility, along with relevant certifications. Preferably, he should have a solid understanding in system integration and have past experience as a Master System Integrator (MSI) with companies such as Siemens, Schneider, Honeywell, Johnson Controls, or similar firms.
The candidate will be responsible for the design, advisory, and consultancy of intelligent infrastructure, ensuring seamless technology integration, interoperability, and digital transformation across transport projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Expertise & Advisory
- Provide expert consultancy on SMART technology solutions for transport infrastructure, ensuring best-in-class implementations.
- Lead system integration planning and design, aligning IoT, ELV (Extra Low Voltage), and ICT solutions into a cohesive, interoperable ecosystem.
- Evaluate and recommend intelligent infrastructure solutions such as IoT-based systems, Environmental Monitoring, and Intelligent Transport Systems.
Project Design & Implementation
- Develop and oversee the design of integrated SMART solutions, ensuring seamless implementation across various transport projects.
- Work closely with civil, electrical, mechanical, and IT teams to optimize system interoperability in transport infrastructure.
- Lead the selection, specification, and deployment of IoT devices, intelligent transport systems, automation platforms, and smart analytics tools.
- Develop strategic roadmaps and feasibility studies for digital transformation in transport projects.
Innovation & Emerging Technologies
- Integrate cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence (AI), Intelligent Transport, Digital Twin, Robotics (such as Autonomous Cleaning & Delivery), and Predictive Maintenance solutions into transport hubs.
- Explore data analytics and smart building performance monitoring solutions to drive operational efficiency.
- Evaluate emerging digital trends to ensure future-proofing of transport infrastructure projects.
Compliance, Standards & Sustainability
- Ensure compliance with international Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and Smart Mobility standards and certifications such as ITE (Institute of Transportation Engineers), ISO 14813, NTCIP (National Transportation Communications for Intelligent Transportation System Protocol), and IEEE 1512.
- Drive sustainable design initiatives, incorporating energy-efficient solutions, environmental monitoring, and space utilization strategies.
- Develop frameworks for smart city integration, enhancing urban mobility and digital connectivity.
Mandatory Qualifications & Experience:
- 7-10 years of experience in Smart Mobility / Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), preferably, holding a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (BA/MS) in Transportation Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Master System Integrator (MSI) in a major system integration company such as Siemens, Schneider, Honeywell, Johnson Controls, or similar firms is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of mature SMART technology solutions, including IoT and Intelligent Transport Systems.
- Experience working with design, advisory, or consultancy firms in transport infrastructure projects (airports, metro stations, ports, roads, tunnels, etc.).
- Demonstrated expertise in SMART system design, interoperability, and integration for transport hubs.
Highly Desirable Qualifications & Experience:
- Exposure to AI-powered solutions, Digital Twins, and Robotics for predictive maintenance and automation.
