My client is a fast-growing, scaling EdTech start-up based in Central London with a clear mission: to make tutoring safe, accessible, and effective for every learner. Their unique AI-powered platform connects families with trusted, qualified tutors, offering a secure and engaging online learning experience.
To help fulfil this mission I'm partnering with them to hire this business critical position of Head of Tutoring / Tutor Manager to help them on their trajectory to Series A investment.
What you’ll do
- Own and lead the continuous building of effective tutor onboarding processes & systems
- Recruit and onboard brilliant tutors across subjects
- Verify qualifications, DBS and safeguarding compliance
- Coach tutors, review lessons and share best practices
- Support & build tutor relationships with profiles, training and platform use
- Play a key part in the ongoing development of their AI-powered intelligent tutor matching system
What I'm ideally looking for
- Passion for & understanding of education in the UK (you could be a current / former teacher, education graduate and/or have commercial education / tutoring / edtech experience)
- Teacher assessment, tutoring recruitment, talent sourcing and/or hiring experience
- Strong safeguarding knowledge
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Tech-savvy, adaptable, and proactive
