Job Description
Our client is seeking a highly creative and experienced Senior Curriculum Developer to join their innovative team in Manchester, Greater Manchester, UK . This role is critical in designing and developing engaging, high-quality educational content and curricula for higher education programs, with a focus on technology-enhanced learning. You will be responsible for translating pedagogical principles and subject matter expertise into effective online and blended learning experiences. Key duties include collaborating with faculty and subject matter experts to identify learning objectives, design instructional strategies, and develop a variety of learning materials, including interactive modules, video scripts, assessments, and case studies. You will leverage instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) and learning technologies to create rich and accessible learning environments. This position requires a deep understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design best practices, and current trends in educational technology. You will also play a role in evaluating the effectiveness of curricula through student feedback and learning analytics, and iteratively improving content based on these insights. Experience with learning management systems (LMS) like Canvas, Moodle, or Blackboard is essential. The ideal candidate will possess excellent project management skills, strong writing and communication abilities, and a passion for creating impactful educational experiences. This role offers a hybrid work model, allowing for flexibility and collaboration.

- Ensure curricula are aligned with accreditation standards and industry best practices.
- Conduct needs assessments and learning evaluations.
- Manage curriculum development projects from conception to delivery.
- Stay current with advancements in instructional design and educational technology.
- Master's degree in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in curriculum development or instructional design, preferably in higher education.
- Proven experience with learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning authoring tools.
- Strong understanding of adult learning theories and instructional design models.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Experience with multimedia development and accessibility standards.
