A privately-owned Water Treatment specialist is looking to recruit a hardworking Water Treatment Engineer, with a diverse skillset and flexible attitude. It is essential that prospective applicants have strong interpersonal skills as the role will involve direct contact with clients, to advice on technical matters. This role would suit a candidate who has existing experience within the industry, and would be looking to join a progressive and successful outfit, who can offer comprehensive training packages. - Good literacy and IT proficiency
- Strong client-facing experience
The Role:
- Undertaking a wide range of ACOP L8 compliance duties across a range of sites
- Cleans and disinfections on cooling towers
- CWST inspections, cleans and disinfections
- Calorifier inspections
- TMV servicing
- Showerhead disinfections
- Closed system sampling and dosing

The successful Technician will have a clear understanding of L8. Technicians need a good understanding of basic monitoring tasks associated with L8. They will be computer literate and self motivated. Duties
Temperature monitoring from domestic water treatment outlets
Temperature monitoring from water calorifiers
Temperature monitoring from cold storage water tanks
Legionella sampling from cold storage water tanks
Legionella sampling from domestic water outlets
Flushing of rarely used outlets including emergency showers
Descale & disinfect showers
Descale & disinfect water outlets
Blowdown of calorifiers
Carry out tank inspections to required standard
Closed system testing analysis
Boiler checks
Potable samples
Safe delivery of samples for analysis within required time limits
Testing of cooling towers
Cleaning
Weekly checks of cooling towers including drift eliminator checks, conductivity, PH etc.
Maintaining customer records
Take resamples when required
The position comes with a company vehicle, laptop, phone and pension. The standard working hours are 45 per week
