Are you a detail-oriented and driven professional with expertise in water treatment and Legionella risk assessments ? My client is seeking a Project Engineer to join their expanding team, focusing on pre-mobilisation, design coordination, and project delivery.

As a Water Treatment Engineer, you will be:

  • Attending site visits across the UK.
  • li>Conducting comprehensive Legionella risk assessments compliant with ACoP L8, HSG274, and British Standards.
  • Producing clear, accurate reports with actionable recommendations for clients.
  • Developing and maintain tailored water system control schemes.
  • Performing routine water monitoring and sampling, including temperature checks, dip slides, pH, and conductivity.
  • Executing chlorination, disinfection, and minor plumbing remedial works in accordance with BS 8558.

Skills & Qualifications required:

  • City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in Water Treatment, Plumbing, Mechanical Engineering, or Environmental Science.
  • Accredited Legionella Risk Assessment qualification (e.g., City & Guilds).
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Previous experience in water treatment and hygiene services.
  • Proven expertise conducting Legionella Risk Assessments following ACoP L8 and HSG274 guidelines.
  • Experience in routine water system monitoring, cleaning, disinfection, and sampling.
  • Comfortable working across healthcare, education, commercial, and industrial environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations, ACoP L8, HSG274, and BS 8558.
