Primarily responsible for startups, maintenance, and emergency repairs for UPS, battery, power distribution, and site monitoring equipment. Your secondary responsibility will be to establish, promote and maintain excellent rapport with all customers, salesmen, distributors, and others within the area, while maintaining active and open dialogue with the service direction team.
Missions:
You will leverage your expert knowledge of UPS, Batteries, Power Distribution and Site Monitoring equipment to deliver excellent customer experience and service. You will have the opportunity to attend customer meeting when necessary as well as provide technical recommendations to clients and colleagues where appropriate.
Our clients are located throughout the UK and expect the critical systems to operate 24/7, therefore a reasonable amount of travel to client’s locations will be required, including the requirement to stay overnight away from home. Not all equipment we maintain was manufactured by Chloride, as such a certain amount of fault-finding utilizing clients’ drawings may be required.
Profile:
Education: Minimum HNC/HND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
Experience: Previous Field Service Experience essential, Experience of working in a technical service or test environment of Electrical/Electronic equipment essential UPS preferred or associated industries Power Electronics.
Experience working on industrial sites (Power Stations, Oil & Gas locations, Nuclear facilities etc) would be an advantage
Skills: Computer literate (Pack Office), excellent customer service skills, strong communication skills, self-strater, ability to plan, organize and manage time effectively with ability to work under pressure
Clean, valid UK driving license
Region covered: Sellafield – but opportunities throughout the UK can be required (nights away from home)

Job Requirements:
The Field Service Engineer provides engineering, technical service, field inspections and customer support for the sale of Industrial Filtration products. This position will travel to end users and provide full inspections and provide solutions to customers. Will provide customers technical reports including recommendations, maintenance, and needed repairs of equipment to operate more efficiently. Support Industrial Filtration sales engineers in efforts to grow the end-user market.
Responsibilities:
- Visit potential customers by providing inspections of pollution control equipment.

Qualifications/ Experience:
- Engineering degree or even a Diploma in a relevant field can be considered.

- Proven technical and critical thinking skills.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Ability to relate technical information to non-technical customers.
- Three to five years of experience working with OEMs, end users of pollution control equipment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, customer service and sales skills.
- Travel Requirement: 30–60% travel is expected.

Main Responsibilities
- To promptly carry out servicing and maintenance on Portable air compressors, Energy storage systems, Generators, pumps and handheld equipment
- To effectively diagnose mechanical and electrical faults on customer equipment at different locations mainly in the northern part of England and Scotland.
- To carry out PDI and commissioning of new equipment.
- To identify required parts to effect repairs.
- To complete job reports correctly and return them in a timely manner.
- To coordinate with the Service planner to plan and organise daily and weekly visit schedules.
