Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior UX Manager to build and lead our talented team of UX designers and researchers. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the user experience strategy, overseeing the design process, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, user-centred solutions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align our product design with business goals and user needs.
Main Responsibilities:
You will work closely with senior leaders and stakeholders across the business to ensure an aligned approach to user experience and our wider strategic goals.
- UX Strategy:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive UX strategy that aligns with the company's goals and vision.
Drive continuous improvement to Twinkl users’ experience of the site, demonstrating a rigorous long-term plan on how you will achieve this. - Take ownership of the UX team’s KPIs, to drive achievement of and accountability to strategic goals.
- Design Process:
- Oversee the end-to-end design process, from concept to delivery, ensuring that design solutions are user-centred, intuitive, and meet business objectives.
- Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to prioritize and implement design improvements. Advocate for user experience excellence within the organization.
- Team Leadership:
- Grow, lead and mentor a team of UX designers and researchers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. Provide guidance and coaching to enhance team performance.
Improve Twinkl’s design processes, setting out the methods by which each UX designer will achieve their greatest possible impact on the wider business. - Develop and maintain documentation (such as an asset library) to enable the above, as well as business-wide design guidelines.
- Business Leadership
- Run UX training sessions for Product Owners, developers and other stakeholders.
- Support the usage and development of Twinkl’s CMS.
- Become the central advocate for adherence to UX principles within Twinkl.
- Manage high-value collaborative projects, such as the ongoing implementation of a new bespoke CMS.
- User Research and Testing:
- Plan team-wide user research activities to gain deep insights, translating these into new page designs or CRO tests in a way that maximises their impact.
- Lead on or personally conduct user testing sessions, to validate design concepts and identify areas for improvement.
- UX Documentation:
- Create and maintain UX documentation, including wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and design guidelines. Ensure that design assets are organized and easily accessible to the team.
- Performance Measurement:
- Establish KPIs and metrics to assess the impact of UX initiatives. Continuously monitor and analyze user feedback and data to drive iterative improvements.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in UX design, HCI, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Proven experience (5+ years) in UX design and management, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful projects.
- Proficiency in UX design tools such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD.
- Experience with user research methodologies, usability testing, and data-driven decision-making.

What you'll be doing
As a Bid Manager at Nomensa you will help drive our business forward; by developing winning proposals, managing internal stakeholders and supporting the smooth and efficient running of our bid function.
