Role Overview:
We are seeking a junior Propulsion Efficiency Engineer to join our dynamic and growing team. This role is focused on the continuous development and yearly updates of our lineup of vehicles with combustion engines, including ICE, MHEV, and PHEV programmes. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the delivery of the Propulsion Efficiency attribute, with a specific focus on Fuel Economy for complex and specific international markets such as Japan, Gulf States, Mexico, and Brazil. You will play a key role in data analysis, target support, and regulatory compliance, contributing throughout the entire vehicle development cycle.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support Lead Engineers in the definition of robust Propulsion Efficiency targets.
• Support the delivery of Propulsion Efficiency attribute targets (Fuel Economy, Hybrid Range) for various Model Year and Vehicle Line programmes.
• Keep internal tools and documents up to date with the latest attribute metrics.
• Analyse test data to generate comprehensive attribute status reports and create meaningful comparisons with historic and competitor data.
•Calculate robust declarable metrics in line with regulatory requirements.
• Support virtual and physical vehicle level testing and development activities. • Interface with Powertrain Product Squads, Homologation and Certification Teams, and Vehicle Engineering Teams as required.
Essential Skills & Experience:
• A 1st Degree in Automotive Engineering or a relevant equivalent discipline.
• A fundamental understanding of the physics behind vehicle efficiency, cycle energy demand, and PHEV electric range (academic knowledge is acceptable). • Significant, proven working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Ability to read, interpret, and write technical requirements and standards.
• Must hold a valid UK driving licence.

Our OEM Client based in Gaydon, is searching for a Senior Project Engineer (Vehicle Efficiency Attribute) to join their team, Inside IR35. This is a contract position until 31st March 2026.
Umbrella Pay Rate: £33.64 per hour.
Duties:
Reporting to the Vehicle Architecture's Efficiency Product Owner and working within our client’s Agile Operating Model, responsibilities will include:
- Conducting strategic target setting for the Vehicle Efficiency Attribute (including competitive positioning assessment & benchmarking, assessment of fleet compliance requirements, customer feedback data analysis, real-world customer data analysis, reviews of legislative requirements etc.)
- Co-ordinating and contributing towards Vehicle Efficiency Attribute virtual verifications and data analysis.
- Conducting target compatibility assessment and negotiation between the Vehicle Efficiency Attribute and Vehicle Energy Node Owners.
- Collaborating with Energy Node Owners in influencing and defining strategic technology roadmaps compatible with Vehicle Efficiency Attribute requirements and customer trends.
- Supporting effective Vehicle Efficiency Attribute Governance throughout vehicle programmes, identifying and making recommendations for how to handle risks and opportunities as they arise.
- Ensuring Vehicle Efficiency Attribute and Energy Node Assumption data is robustly and efficiently administrated and made available to Business Stakeholders.
- Collaborating with tools and methods teams to ensure Vehicle Efficiency Attribute development requirements are well defined and aligned with programme objectives, where programme delivery imperatives allow, contribute and add value to tools and methods development project work.

Our OEM Client based in Gaydon, is searching for a Senior Project Engineer (Vehicle Efficiency Attribute) to join their team, Inside IR35. This is a contract position until 31st March 2026.
Umbrella Pay Rate: £33.64 per hour.
Duties:
Reporting to the Vehicle Architecture's Efficiency Product Owner and working within our client’s Agile Operating Model, responsibilities will include:
- Conducting strategic target setting for the Vehicle Efficiency Attribute (including competitive positioning assessment & benchmarking, assessment of fleet compliance requirements, customer feedback data analysis, real-world customer data analysis, reviews of legislative requirements etc.)
- Co-ordinating and contributing towards Vehicle Efficiency Attribute virtual verifications and data analysis.
- Conducting target compatibility assessment and negotiation between the Vehicle Efficiency Attribute and Vehicle Energy Node Owners.
- Collaborating with Energy Node Owners in influencing and defining strategic technology roadmaps compatible with Vehicle Efficiency Attribute requirements and customer trends.
- Supporting effective Vehicle Efficiency Attribute Governance throughout vehicle programmes, identifying and making recommendations for how to handle risks and opportunities as they arise.
- Ensuring Vehicle Efficiency Attribute and Energy Node Assumption data is robustly and efficiently administrated and made available to Business Stakeholders.
- Collaborating with tools and methods teams to ensure Vehicle Efficiency Attribute development requirements are well defined and aligned with programme objectives, where programme delivery imperatives allow, contribute and add value to tools and methods development project work.
- Undertaking any other work as directed by their Line Manager in connection with their job as may be requested.

Are you an experienced, recognised and self-employed Tutor and/or Assessors with experience in D32/33/A1/CAVA/TAQA and confident teaching, coaching and delivering apprenticeships in the manufacturing sector?
Approved Training Limited (ATL) are a Grade 2 OFSTED, APAR registered, training provider who are based in the heart of Worcester and operate nationally. We are currently looking to recruit a Specialist Apprenticeship Tutor who will be able to deliver Lean Manufacturing Operative Level 2.
The ideal candidate will have a combination of hands-on experience of the manufacturing/engineering sector, along with apprenticeship delivery experience and you will be responsible for the delivery and monitoring of apprentices to support the development of knowledge, skills and behaviours and to prepare apprentices for the End Point Assessment.
This position can offer hybrid working which is a strong mix of onsite delivery and home-based working. On offer is a salary circa £40,000 per annum (Pro Rata) dependent upon experience, starting off with an initial caseload of 25.
Lean Manufacturing Tutor main duties:
- Delivering apprenticeship standards in Lean Manufacturing Operative Level 2 along with full learner and caseload management
- Proven track record of leadership and ability to inspire and support learners with different abilities.
- Identify and assess learners’ needs and put in place robust learning plans, with realistic and challenging goals, that enable learners to understand their personal journey and realise their potential.
- Build and support work-based projects within the apprenticeship standard
- Actively support, mentor and motivate learners across the entire learner journey, to help them with the timely completion of their learning goals and achievement of their apprenticeship standard.
- Mark work, giving appropriate feedback and maintain records of learner’s progress and development.
- Actively engage the learners “line manager” to enable them to play a proactive role and support the learner to apply their skills in the workplace
- Liaising with and ensuring that the provider is compliant with Ofsted, ESFA, funding partners and awarding organisations.
- Ensuring retention and achievement targets are met.
- Manage and monitor all learner evidence in line with company and awarding body requirements.
- Devise and oversee end point assessment, ensure regular contact with the Quality lead (IV) to ensure quality standards are met.
- Ensure all learners progress through their qualification adhering to schemes of work.
- Maintain regular communication with Key Stakeholders on learner progress.
- Identify and plan additional support for learners, as necessary.
- Ensure Equality and Diversity is embedded and instilled both in and out of the classroom.
- Identify and raise any safeguarding issues to the relevant representative.
- Promote and instil a safe learning environment.
Lean Manufacturing Tutor required skills and experience:
- Hold a recognised Tutor and/or Assessors Award such as D32/33/A1/CAVA/TAQA
- Experience teaching, coaching or delivering apprenticeships in the manufacturing sector.
- Prior experience working within manufacturing and engineering
- Own transport with the flexibility to travel to see learners
- Hold a current DBS check and be registered on the update service
- Ability to facilitate virtual/online training and develop teaching recourses
