- £30,339 - £3,954 per annum + bonus
- Average uncapped bonus of ,800 per year (with potential to earn more)
- 5 days a week (this centre only trades on Sunday's for 10 weeks per year)

As a Vehicle Technician/ Mechanic, you will be already skilled in servicing and repair/replacement work. You’ll have the ability to carry out more complex tasks such as clutches and timing belt replacements and diagnostics in areas such as vehicle electrics, brake steering and suspension systems.

Skills and experience
- Must have a Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent OR time served experience
- Must have a full drivers licence with no more than 9 points
- Experienced Technician/Mechanic able to carry out diagnostic work (brakes, steering/suspension, engine) and more complex repair and replacements (coolant/diesel injectors, head gasket, brakes, electrical)

Job Summary
We’re seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive Technician to join our team. You will play a key role in delivering expert diagnostics, repairs, servicing, and MOT testing. You will also support the workshop team, provide guidance to junior staff and workforce volunteers, and ensure high standards of safety, efficiency, and workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- p>Carry out servicing, repairs, and diagnostics on vehicles for retail and trade customers, meeting the highest standards of quality and safey

Conduct Class 4,5 and 7 MOT tests in accordance with DVSA standards

Work efficiently, completing tasks within specified timeframes based on Autodata guidance
-
Provide technical guidance and support to less experienced technicians, and supervise workforce volunteers in carrying out basic fast fit tasks
-
Liaise with Service Manager to explain faults or repairs, and ensure parts are ordered
-
Be proactive in carrying out vehicle health checks and identifying work required
-
Keep the workshop clean, tidy, and compliant with health and safety regulations
-
Some Saturday work required on a rota basis, with equivalent time off during the week
Requirements

Level 3 qualification in Motor Vehicle Service & Maintenance, or equivalent
-
At least 3 years experience in a similar role, and proven excellent technical competence
-
Strong diagnostic skills including using garage diagnostic software
-
Existing valid MOT Tester licence preferred but not essential
-
Full UK driving licence
-
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality work

Experience in working on electric and hybrid vehicles preferred by not essential.
