Typically, this person will focus on surveys, fault finding, repairs & installation of whole boat electrical systems from engine room to bridge - you will be the go to for electrical works on these operational vessels.

- Ability to conduct electrical surveys on vessels li>Fault-Find, repair, install vessel electrical systems from engine room to bridge (engine controls, PMS, navigation, communication, radar) li>Write reports and organise new parts / spares
- Full communication with vessel and managerial staff to update on progress

The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the design intent and safety of platform and auxiliary systems and to collate the assurance evidence of this for the respective vessel while working under the definitive engineering authority of the appropriate Lead Engineer.
What the role of the Marine Mechanical Engineer entails:
Some of the main duties of the Marine Mechanical Engineer will include:
- Use expertise to provide advice and guidance of own discipline to stakeholders within project or team
- Act as a focal point for discipline specific tasks ensuring best practices are adopted, ensuring overall compliance to Engineering processes and standards
- Provide design assurance and governance to a team or technical standards, evaluate and contribute to design change proposals

- Participate in verification/validation activities such to manage risk and demonstrate compliance

- Core Mechanical Engineering skills and experience

- Marine, Naval or Warship experience is desirable
