What will I be doing?
Reporting to the Creative Operations Manager, the successful candidate will assist in the smooth daily operation of a very busy post-production facility. The Intern will be working closely alongside the department's IO group; jointly responsible for all media assets stored and used within the facility in London.
An understanding of the importance of content security is a large part of this role. The facility services all of Universal's products, and as such, the successful candidate will be working on and dealing with large volumes of assets including highly sensitive material.

Proficiency in professional editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or Avid Media Composer is essential. Experience with colour grading and sound mixing workflows is a significant advantage. You must possess excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively under pressure and within tight deadlines, and have a collaborative spirit. This role requires you to be on-site at our studio facilities in Nottingham, contributing to a collaborative and creative environment.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Film Editor with a strong reel of feature film credits.
  • Expertise in professional editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Avid).
  • Deep understanding of cinematic storytelling, pacing, and rhythm.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with directors and producers.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Knowledge of post-production workflows, including sound design and colour grading.
  • Ability to adapt to different genres and styles.
  • Commitment to meeting project deadlines.
