Visual Merchandising Manager - Permanent
Location: Ideally you are based in or around Glasgow for this role so you are near the HQ. The client is also open to candidates looking to re-locate.
Hybrid role: 4 days office based and 1 day WFH

Role Overview:
Reporting to the Head of Visual Merchandising, the VM Manager manages, supports and delivers the clients Global Visual Merchandising strategy by working with internal and external stakeholders, developing fixture and event design and ensuring consistency of brand messaging across all retailer channels. Ultimately our VM Manager is responsible for delivering innovative retail experiences for our consumers that align with our brand strategy and business goals, across all physical channels of distribution
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain all Visual Merchandising execution and store expression according to brand guidelines, this will involve working collaboratively with key internal and external stakeholders on delivering the brands’ vision on all POS materials for all physical points of distribution
- Create CPAs/schedules; assess and flag risks for all VM projects
- Manage, update and maintain the VM Master List across all permanent (NSO & resets) and temporary (updates & events) projects. Flag any risk to management and key stakeholders and propose alternative solutions.
- Work collaboratively to align all Retailer reset/rebuild updates and promo with the VM master calendar ensuring that every project is on track and delivered on time.

- Create Visual Merchandising Design brief based on all relevant information shared by Sales, Marketing and Retail partners
- Create planograms and rationalize shelf productivity in partnership with the Sales team. Planograms to include in-depth knowledge of POS manufacture, materials and lead times
- Raise POs, track and file all CAPEX and OPEX costs whilst maintaining the VM budget and tracker
Role requirements:
- At least 5 years experience in Visual Merchandising with focus in Beauty and/or FMCG
- Bachelor Degree in Design: Architecture/ Interior Design / Visual Merchandising
- Excellent understanding of the technical aspects of Visual Merchandising and knowledge of manufacture and working with external suppliers.
- Ability to read and translate technical / manufacturing drawings
- Sound understanding of the principles of Project Management and ability to manage large scale, complex projects and critical paths
- Excellent time management and organisational skills, with ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects concurrently
- Able to create clear VM presentations and is confident to present to the key stakeholders of the business whilst sharing risks and solutions.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc)
- Proficient in design programs including Adobe Creative Suite and 3D design programs (Sketchup, Cinema4D, AutoCAD, Fusion)
- Great organization and multi-tasking skills and able to prioritise workload
- Able to work very well under pressure and thrive in a fast-paced collaborative environment
- Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills; able to develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholder

We are currently seeking a talented Design Director with a strong background in graphic design to join a dynamic and fast-paced team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading creative projects within client budgets while delivering top-tier designs.

Key Responsibilities
- Create compelling pitch documents and research new opportunities in the public art space
- Provide creative oversight on projects and workstreams, collaborating with the Global Creative Director
- Build strong client relationships and contribute to new revenue streams
- Assist in recruiting and managing creative talent
- Contribute to the studio's overall goals and strategy
Requirements
- Degree in Graphic Design or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Graphic Designer
- Management experience
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
- Ability to travel to clients' sites
- Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
- Excellent team player with the ability to meet deadlines

Job Description
From day one, you will be fully integrated into Team Hilton. Our placements offer vast exposure and opportunities, including networking with senior executives, involvement in regional conferences and for some, international travel.
Based in our Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) headquarters in Watford, you will be part of a cohort of 50 Interns and take part in regular connect meetings and feedback sessions designed to support your development. You will benefit from a subsidised restaurant, a games area and a free in-house gym.
**The Opportunity**
You will support the Architecture, Design & Construction (AD&C) team across EMEA, while reporting to the Director of Interior Design for EMEA.
You will have the opportunity to learn on the job and gain a practical understanding of graphic design within the hospitality industry.
**More specifically, you will be:**
+ Creating EMEA AD&C Quarterly Reports.
+ Creating EMEA Development Quarterly Reports.
+ Creating Year End Presentations.
+ Creating Executive Presentations for the SVP.
+ Updating Quarterly Brand Presentations updates across all brands.
+ Creating general and ad-hoc AD&C presentations as required by the SVP of AD&C, VP of Design and wider AD&C team.
+ Preparing presentations as required for project opportunity pitches.
+ Supporting with design narrative presentations.
+ Developing new design driven presentation templates.
+ Managing the project image library and filing of presentation decks.
+ Managing and updating social media on behalf of the AD&C team.

**What are we looking for?**
+ A strong sense of alignment to our culture and values.
+ A current Bachelor's or Master's student with a required 12-month year in industry placement as part of your degree.
+ Must be studying a graphic design-related degree.
+ Availability to start 13th of July 2026, full-time, for a 12-month placement.
+ Eligibility to work in the UK. If you are a non-UK national, without EU Settled or Pre-Settled Status then you will need to be studying at a UK university to be eligible to undertake a placement here.
+ Fluency in English (speaking, reading, and writing).
+ A strong desire to progress a career in the hotel industry.
+ Proactive with a strong willingness to learn and take ownership of tasks.
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills.
+ Good at planning, keeping records and attention to detail.
+ Passionate about driving the right-first-time approach to project development.
+ Strong in Microsoft Office applications especially Excel and PowerPoint as well as InDesign.
+ Able to demonstrate good interpersonal skills.
+ A positive 'can-do' attitude, proactivity and resilience.
