The role involves end-to-end ASIC development across the full ASIC flow, from RTL to GDSII, with emphasis on digital design and physical implementation.
Responsibilities
Collaborates with cross-functional teams to define and implement ASIC architectures
Designs and develops RTL code using SystemVerilog and Verilog
Conducts design verification and ensures compliance with specifications
Participates in the integration and testing of ASICs
Contributes to the improvement of design methodologies and processes
Integrate IPs, define constraints, and ensure timing, area, and power goals are met
Work closely with RTL, verification, and DFT teams to ensure robust handoffs and convergence
Qualifications
Holds a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
Solid understanding of ASIC design principles and methodologies
Proficient in SystemVerilog, Verilog, and RTL design
Familiarity with security-related applications and protocols is a plus
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Experience with end-to-end ASIC development (RTL through GDSII), including synthesis, DFT, floorplanning, place and route, static timing analysis, and tapeout support

Umbrella rates up to £55.00 per hour
We’re looking for an experienced PCB Design Engineer to join a high-profile engineering project developing advanced power feeding equipment that supports undersea cable systems. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on complex, multi-layer PCB designs within a collaborative and forward-thinking engineering environment.

What you’ll be doing:
- Turning circuit schematics into detailed PCB layouts using Altium Designer (essential) and/or Zuken CR5000 (desirable – training provided if needed).
- Designing multi-layer, high-speed and power PCBs , optimised for signal integrity, thermal management, and power distribution.
- Producing Gerber files, BOMs, and fabrication drawings for manufacturing.
- Ensuring compliance with IPC, IEEE, and DFM/DFT guidelines.
- Partnering closely with hardware engineers, mechanical teams and manufacturers to deliver robust, manufacturable solutions.
- Leading design reviews, troubleshooting, and prototype validation.
- Keeping pace with new tools, trends, and standards in PCB design.

- Solid PCB design experience in Altium Designer (non-negotiable) ; Zuken experience a bonus.
- Proven ability to deliver complex, multi-layer PCB designs (high-speed, power electronics).
