We support over 1,000 people across nine boroughs, guided by our core values: engage, enable, and empower.
About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and passionate Coordinator to play a key role in delivering high-quality programmes aligned with our Business Plan, supporting adults with a range of needs, including learning disabilities, autism, mental health challenges, and complex support requirements. This role is responsible for strategically leading and coordinating efforts to promote inclusive and meaningful participation across the organization. It involves providing expert consultation and hands-on facilitation to enhance community engagement, support volunteering initiatives, and advance co-production practices. As a Coordinator, you will champion equity-driven approaches and work collaboratively to ensure diverse voices are actively involved in shaping decisions, projects and outcomes. You’ll play an active role in ensuring that service delivery is person-centred, well-coordinated, and aligned with Outward’s core values of engage, enable, and empower.
Your Responsibilities
Developing and Delivering Training
· To work with the people we support to co-design and deliver training to our teams. This may take the form of creating accessible videos or literature.
· To support the delivery of our Welcome Days and core training modules in cooperation with Co-Trainers.
· To coordinate and support Co-Trainers, which involves liaison with services, keyworkers and stakeholders, processing of finances in relation to Co-Trainers involvement through Co-Production.
Making Information Accessible
· To produce minutes, policies and other literature in accessible formats, such as easy-read.
Facilitating Co-Production
· To facilitate panels to ensure the views of people we support are well represented and appropriately reported to Outward’s Board.
· To plan, coordinate and deliver people we support panel interviews.
· To work with Quality to involve people we support and other stakeholder’s in reviewing relevant policies, procedures and guidance.
· To plan and deliver consultative workshops and consultations as required with people we support or other stakeholders.
· To support with monitoring and evaluation of the service.
Quality Checking
· To support the delivery of Outward’s Quality Checker programme as part of Outward’s Annual Senior Management Audits schedule (ASMA).
· Assist with recruiting, inducting and managing Quality Checkers, who have experience of using Outward’s services.
· To coordinate and support Quality Checkers to attend services as and when required. This includes supporting with travel and communication.
· To work with the Quality Team to support the delivery of the annual satisfaction survey for people who use our services, ensuring high levels of engagement through accessibility and independent support options.
Volunteering
· To coordinate volunteer recruitment and management processes, ensuring all records are up to date and that all volunteers are appropriately supervised in their placements, using our online database.

Raising Awareness
· To raise awareness, understand and improve practice across the organisation around co-producing services with people we support.
· Liaising with the Marketing and Communications team to promote awareness and guidance, provide resources to be uploaded into the Co-Production Library, clearly communicating the work that you do across services, to make sure that there is good engagement across Outward’s teams.
· To promote across the organisation mindful use of language to describe people, the way they behave and how we support them.
Best Practice
· To keep up-to-date with best practice through literature reviews, attendance at conferences and relevant forums and share your learning.
· To develop and implement best practice approaches to involving people in decision making in line with the Mental Capacity Act.
· To support the team to develop innovative approaches to involve people we support meaningfully in recruiting staff with the right skills and attitudes to support them.

Main base(s): Watford Wellbeing Centre, providing outreach around Three Rivers.
Purpose of Post
The Community Outreach Worker (Community Support Service) provides people with complex needs who have mental health as a primary need. This includes people who may have drug and alcohol difficulties. Particularly when they are coming into repeat contact with Police, Tenancy Sustainment Services, Housing and Homelessness Services and Environmental Health Services.
About the service
Our Community Support Service is here to provide advice, information and holistic outreach support to people who are experiencing mental ill-health or need help with their mental wellbeing. We work alongside people to develop an individually tailored package of support that meets their needs, working with clients to find the solutions that are right for them. This service is flexible to help resolve real-life difficulties and improve client’s independence, quality of life and wellbeing.
The service will be delivered in Three Rivers, based at the Herts Mind Network Wellbeing Centre, providing outreach around Three Rivers.
The purpose of the Community Support Service Outreach Worker is to:
- To provide advice, information, onward referral and holistic support to clients with coexisting drug and alcohol difficulties and mental ill-health. These will be clients who are presenting to the Police, Anti-Social Behaviour, Tenancy Enforcement, Housing and Environmental Health Services within Three Rivers. li>To ensure that the safety and wellbeing of the client is monitored and reviewed regularly.
- To remain a source of independent support for all clients.
- Embed a person centred and solution focused approach in all aspects of the role.
- To raise greater awareness of complex needs and the effects of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) amongst local service providers. Supporting them to gain confidence in working positively and consistently with people who have multiple needs.
We offer:
- Annual leave entitlement of 25 days per year pro rata, rising in increments to a max. of 29 days after 5 years employment (plus 8 days Bank Holidays)
