**Structured Trading Group (STG)** is the main hub for Structured Products at MUFG. The desk is responsible for the structuring, trading and management of Structured Derivatives in Interest Rates, FX and Hybrid products. **OVERVIEW OF THE DEPARTMENT/SECTION**
MUFG's Leveraged Finance group provides product expertise in the origination, structuring and execution of LBOs for private equity sponsors.
The Leveraged Finance group also works with relevant coverage and product functions within the bank to assist in executing our broader Financial Institutions strategy to maximise cross-sell amongst private equity sponsor clients and their portfolio companies.
Leveraged Finance works collaboratively with MUFG's Global Sponsor Coverage teams, Mid Market Direct Lending team and the Leveraged Capital Markets team to deliver financing solutions and to maximise revenue opportunities in EMEA.
**MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE**
+ Undertake analysis and manage processes to successfully structure and execute leveraged finance transactions, defined as large cap underwritten LBO financings and direct lending transactions.
+ Assist in the generation of deal flow in sponsor-driven leveraged finance transactions consistent with our targeted sponsor framework, target size range and specific geographic focus.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Prepare and present in coordination with other deal team members (i) client marketing materials (presentations, pitch books etc.) and (ii) the relevant internal approval documents, including industry and company analysis, due diligence, financial analysis, financial modelling, sensitivity scenarios, risks and mitigants and return calculation.
+ Execute deals ensuring the highest quality of transaction delivery, risk management and client satisfaction.
+ Negotiate terms and documentation for leveraged finance transactions in collaboration with senior deal team members, Leveraged Finance Transaction Execution function and, where relevant, Leveraged Capital Markets.
+ Assist in driving profitable dealflow from the private equity community in EMEA from across our leveraged finance product range, specifically execute underwritten financings and direct lending transactions.
+ Retain ongoing responsibility for risk management of onboarded assets, in partnership with the Portfolio Management team, and drive incremental revenue and cross selling opportunities for MUFG.
+ Work closely with internal stakeholders, notably Credit, Sponsor Coverage, Leveraged Capital Markets, Financial Institutions Coverage, Corporate Coverage, Growth & Mid Market Tech, Compliance and Audit to promote the strategic mission of Leveraged Finance and to ensure the continued good standing of the team within the bank.

**WORK EXPERIENCE**

The role of Operations is to manage the interaction between Operations and MUFG's internal clients (Front Office, Trading Desks etc) and has close ties with other support areas such as , Legal, Compliance, Risk etc
**MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE**
The Fixed Income and Equity Trade Processing team provide support to MUFG EMEA Sales and Trading groups, facilitating accurate and timely Settlement and providing pre trade support. The team acts as an important link between the Front Office, the market, customers and various back office areas and is key to ensuring transactions are correctly matched and risk accessed.
In addition the role demands high level external client focus in order to efficiently satisfy their diverse range of requirements and provide a service which out performs our immediate competitors.
The role demands flexibility between tasks, attention to detail and the ability to perform a diverse multitude of pre execution tasks to support our internal and external client needs and requires strong Fixed Income and Equity experience and a clear understanding of front to back transaction trade flows and the associated controls (i.e. reconciliations).
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
**Daily BAU Processing Responsibilities:**
**Transaction Monitoring & Settlement:**
Ensure accurate and timely monitoring of front-to-back transaction flows and settlement across a wide range of Fixed Income and Equity products, including (but not limited to) Corporates, Government Bonds, Repos, SBL, SPV Settlements, Triparty, Cash Equities, and Convertibles.
**Triparty Settlements Oversight:**
Support the end-to-end processing, instruction, and risk management of Triparty settlements, ensuring alignment with internal controls and business requirements. Drive optimisation initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy across all Triparty-related activities.
**Reconciliation & Break Resolution:**
Investigate and resolve reconciliation breaks and unmatched trades across all supported products and markets, ensuring all reconciliation activities are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
**Inbox Management & Stakeholder Communication:**
Monitor and manage team mailboxes daily, ensuring all queries are thoroughly investigated and resolved promptly, delivering high-quality service to internal and external stakeholders.
**Outsourced Team Oversight:**
Oversee and support the performance, communication, and control standards of outsourced partners. Ensure that outsourced operations align with internal expectations, timelines, and business objectives. Act as a key liaison between internal stakeholders and external vendors, fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
**Market Borrow Monitoring:**
Oversee the processing, reporting, and resolution of all market borrow positions, including the management of mandatory recalls.
**Pair-Off & Partial Settlements:**
Identify and execute pair-off or partial settlement opportunities with counterparties, including the preparation and processing of payment/receipt instructions.
**Process Improvement & Risk Mitigation:**
Continuously review and enhance operational processes and procedures in collaboration with the line manager. Identify and remediate any control gaps or inefficiencies within the framework.
**Control & Compliance:**
Ensure all activities within the Transaction Processing team are executed in accordance with documented Standard Operating Procedures and internal control standards.

Act as a product specialist, providing subject matter expertise and day-to-day support across all BAU activities.

The Transaction Execution team is part of the Global Corporate and Investment Banking Division of MUFG. The team works seamlessly with the EMEA Legal, Relationship Management and Capital Markets teams to bridge legal and commercial expertise and deliver structuring, advisory and execution services to MUFG's corporate clients.
**MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE**
The Transaction Execution team covers loan transactions for leveraged and investment grade corporate borrowers using documentation which is LMA-based, US / cov lite style and/or hybrids of the two. Financings include event-driven and flow/relationship facilities (bridge, term and revolving credit). Syndicated transactions (including underwritten and best efforts) form the majority alongside a minority of bilaterals.
This role is focused on (i) delivering differentiated client service; (ii) managing the negotiation of legal documentation for loan financing transactions (including mandate/commitment documents, facility agreements and intercreditor agreements (as applicable)); and (iii) assisting with any structuring considerations and identifying any risks or issues that arise in the broader transaction documentation or process.
We are seeking a Vice President with a background in leveraged finance (working with sponsors or corporates) to expand the team's specialism in working with sub-investment grade corporate clients.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Leading transaction execution service (with involvement from pitch phase to completion) and negotiation of financing documentation with corporate borrowers and their external counsel and/or other arranging banks
+ Advising on effective structuring of transactions; demonstrating an in-depth knowledge of corporate structure, guarantee, security, subordination and leakage issues
+ Reviewing documentation at term sheet and credit agreement stages for compliance with MUFG's internal policies and best practice standards, and to confirm alignment with credit approval documentation
+ Acting as a trusted advisor and building relationships with MUFG's existing and new corporate clients
+ Ensuring consistency regarding documentation standards; being the central touch point/centre of excellence for emerging market trends and documentation-related internal escalation processes

The EMEA Markets Engineering department (MEE) is responsible for developing models, pricing tools, and the pricing/risk systems used in the firm, on all asset classes. Their products support the trading and risk functions of several different desks via in-house developed applications run on traders' desktops, compute grids and external cloud compute fabrics.

We are seeking a Quant-Developer to join the EMEA Markets Engineering team, contributing to the development and support of front-office systems and tools used by trading and risk teams. This is a high-impact role with strong exposure to the business, offering the opportunity to work closely with quantitative modelers and traders in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
