Initial Washroom Hygiene, part of Rentokil Initial , is one of the UK’s leading providers of washroom, hygiene and floorcare services. Not the most glamorous of products but it is certainly an essential for all businesses.
We are seeking a personable and outgoing individual to join our Croydon branch as a Stock Controller on a full-time permanent basis.
You will be supporting the Service Manager and Service Team Leader by ensuring stock within the warehouse is controlled, as well as planning installs and removals. Other responsibilities include:
- Efficient stock control of all stock items in the branch.
- Stock cage key holder responsibility.
- Ordering stock.
- Picking stock for drivers routes.
- Ensuring that stock is checked on & off vans and counted accurately by the Warehouse staff.
- Maintaining Branch Stock KPIs.
- No lost items.
- Ensure the quality of the stock being delivered to the customers.
- Liaise with the Plant for shortages, stock issues etc.
- Ensuring adequate stock in stores for routes and new installs/replacements/upgrades. (soap, air care, waste bags, batteries, hand dryers etc)
- End of Month Stock Checks.
- Ensuring removals are counted in and sorted for return to Plant or our stores to be reutilised or recycled.
Requirements

- Direct and manage all day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory control.

- Manage and maintain optimal inventory levels, conducting regular stocktakes and cycle counts.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in warehouse management or logistics operations, with a strong focus on operational leadership.
- Proven experience managing large teams in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- In-depth knowledge of WMS software and its application in optimizing warehouse functions.
- Strong understanding of lean logistics principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
