• Supervising daily warehouse operations, including receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance.
• Managing inventory accuracy and ensuring timely stock takes and cycle counts.
• Coordinating the efficient dispatch and receipt of goods, ensuring all shipments are accurate and on time.
• Leading, training, and motivating a team of warehouse staff, fostering a productive and safe working environment.
• Implementing and enforcing health and safety policies and procedures within the warehouse.
• Utilising warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory, manage orders, and generate reports.
• Identifying opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
• Liaising with transport providers and other suppliers to ensure smooth logistics operations.
• Conducting regular performance reviews and providing feedback to team members.
• Ensuring the cleanliness and organisation of the warehouse at all times.

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse operatives during assigned shifts, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and dispatch.
• Ensure all warehouse operations are conducted in compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and security procedures.
• Monitor shift performance, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and implement corrective actions to address any deviations.
• Provide clear instructions and ongoing support to team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Ensure accurate inventory management and stock control procedures are followed diligently.
• Operate and oversee the use of warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet trucks, ensuring safe operation and regular checks.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and organization within the warehouse.
• Report on shift activities, including any incidents, operational issues, or personnel matters, to the Warehouse Manager.
• Assist in training new employees and providing ongoing coaching to existing team members.
• Respond effectively to operational challenges and implement timely solutions.
• Liaise with other departments or external partners as necessary to resolve issues and ensure smooth operations.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure all team members adhere to safety protocols.

• Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment, preferably with supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and dispatch processes.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations applicable to warehouse environments.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to motivate and guide a team effectively.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
• Basic IT literacy, with experience using warehouse management systems (WMS) or similar software being an advantage.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including potential weekend work depending on operational needs.
• A proactive attitude and a commitment to achieving operational excellence.

• Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure orders are accurate and meet customer expectations.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the implementation of efficiency initiatives.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on operational performance to the Warehouse Manager.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
• Assist with scheduling and workforce planning to ensure adequate coverage.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or team leadership role.
• Proven experience in managing warehouse processes such as receiving, inventory control, order fulfillment, and shipping.
• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations within a warehouse environment.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is essential.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., MS Office).
• Forklift truck license (RTITB or equivalent) is advantageous.
• Flexibility to work various shifts as required.
• This role requires a hybrid presence, involving both direct supervision on the warehouse floor and administrative tasks.
