The role will be based with this strategically located Regional Distribution Centre that services and supports a number of other locations with the network. This is a senior role supporting the General Manager.


Here is an over view of the key responsibilities undertaken by the Warehouse Operations Manager:

**The role:**
In this role you will:

You will be responsible for all aspects of warehouse management, from inbound and outbound logistics to inventory control and health & safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, warehousing, distribution, and inventory management.
  • Develop and implement efficient warehouse strategies and processes to maximize productivity and minimize costs.
  • Lead, motivate, and manage a diverse team of warehouse staff, fostering a positive and high-performance work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, promoting a strong safety culture.
  • Oversee inventory accuracy and implement effective stock control measures.
  • Manage relationships with transport providers and third-party logistics partners.
  • Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and other technology to enhance operational performance.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement action plans for continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing training and development for warehouse staff.
  • Manage operational budgets and control expenses effectively.
  • Resolve operational issues and customer complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement, sales, and customer service, to ensure efficient supply chain operations.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Proven experience in a Warehouse Management or similar senior operational role, preferably within logistics or distribution.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse processes, inventory management, and supply chain principles.
  • Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other relevant technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a warehouse environment.
  • Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Flexibility to work a hybrid schedule, balancing on-site presence with remote oversight as needed.
  • A degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is advantageous.
