We are looking to recruit a Warehouse Operative to join our growing team in Hook. The focus of the role is to assist the Warehouse Manager and Team Leaders with the day to day running of the warehouse, to ensure the safe storage, inventory, pick & packing and delivery deadlines are met, and the warehouse is a safe environment to work in. Working hours are Monday - Friday 40 hours per week.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Assist in planning coordinating and monitoring the receipt, order assembly and dispatch of goods.
  • Sign for goods received into the warehouse, update stock system, advise Campaign Managers of the delivery.
  • Check and inspect goods received and ensuring they are of accurate quantity, type, and acceptable quality.
  • Produce a work plan each day and prioritise tasks.
  • Liaise with Campaign Managers, Field Support Managers, Suppliers and Transport Companies.
  • Contact courier companies to coordinate the dispatch and delivery of goods
  • Load and unload goods from company and third-party vehicles.
  • Organise elements to pick & pack, accurately update stock system.
  • Operate company vehicles when necessary.
  • Produce delivery notes / consignment labels using third party portals.
  • Support a clean, safe warehouse working environment for all staff to work in, remove hazardous products from site in line with safety regulations.
  • Support the Field Support team, this may involve working off site

We are looking for a Warehouse Team Leader to assist the Manager and Warehouse teams with the day to day running of the warehouse, ensure the receipt, inventory and reporting of all goods is accurate, packed goods ready for delivery are dispatched on time. This role is based in Hook, Hampshire, working five days a week Monday to Friday but with a requirement to work weekends / Bank holidays during busy periods.

Responsibilities include:

  • Plan coordinate and monitor the receipt, order assembly and dispatch of goods.

  • Plan the workload for your area of responsibility including setting out daily work plans.
  • Liaise with Campaign Managers, Field Support Managers, Suppliers and Transport Companies.
  • Contact courier companies to coordinate the dispatch and delivery of goods.
  • Coordinate and support team members in undertaking tasks such producing store notices and delivery notes/ consignment labels using third party portals; loading and unloading goods, and contacting courier companies.
  • Maintain, monitor and order warehouse stationery.
  • Champion safe working practices, ensuring the warehouse is a clean safe warehouse working environment for all staff to work in, remove hazardous products from site in line with safety regulations.

Requirements

  • People management experience; able to support with staff training, development and engagement.

A key focus will be on driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve service levels.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Managing and directing all warehouse staff, fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and accountability.
  • Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, ensuring smooth and timely processing of all orders.
  • Implementing and enforcing strict health and safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Developing and executing strategies to optimize inventory management, including stock accuracy and turnover.
  • Monitoring and managing operational costs, identifying areas for cost reduction and efficiency gains.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with internal departments and external suppliers/partners.
  • Implementing and managing warehouse management systems (WMS) to improve operational visibility and control.
  • Conducting regular performance reviews and providing feedback and training to warehouse staff.
  • Planning and managing space utilization within the warehouse to maximize efficiency.
  • Coordinating with transportation and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Investigating and resolving any operational issues or discrepancies promptly.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Significant experience (5+ years) in warehouse management or a similar operational leadership role.
  • Proven experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other relevant logistics software.
  • Strong understanding of inventory control principles and best practices.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of health and safety regulations in a warehouse environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) is advantageous.
