**About the Opportunity**
We are recruiting for a Waste Management Consultant to join our Radioactive Waste management team. You will focus on the development and assessment of radioactive waste inventories and characterisation data to support waste management strategies. You will also provide support to other projects in the areas of decommissioning and environmental management.

**Key Responsibilities:**
You will work on a range of consultancy projects for customers including radioactive waste producers, radioactive waste management organisations and regulators, both in the UK and overseas. Work includes a wide variety of activities across the areas of integrated radioactive waste management, spent fuels and nuclear materials and site investigation/land quality including:
+ Analysing problems and developing solutions.
+ The development of radioactive waste management strategies including consideration of the most appropriate method for treatment and/or disposal; and high-level strategic studies to support and underpin decision-making at different stages of the radioactive waste lifecycle.
+ Assessment of different options using recognised approaches such as BAT and BPEO.
+ Consideration of approaches for radioactive waste conditioning and packaging.
+ Support to radioactive waste management organisations to assess disposability cases and/or support the development of safety cases.
+ Production of high-quality technical reports on the outcome of your work.
+ Interactions with and presentation of results to customers and stakeholder engagement activities (including facilitation).
+ Support other team members with Business development activities.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for two hands-on and experienced Waste Site Supervisors to join my client's Waste Management team on an initial 6-month contract, overseeing operations across Recycling and Household Waste Sites (RHWS) and Waste Transfer Stations (WTS) across Leicestershire.
These roles are field-based and will involve daily travel to waste sites. The current requirement is for one supervisor to cover Lount / Coalville and Shepshed in the North West of the county. A second suitable candidate could be based anywhere across Leicestershire.
The main duties of the Waste Site Supervisor are:
·Daily supervision of Council RHWS and WTS locations across the county.
·Line management of site staff, including one-to-ones, return-to-work interviews, and basic HR discussions.
·Support onboarding processes for new starters and monitoring ongoing staff development.
·Deliver training using workbooks and support e-learning completion.
·Develop and deliver toolbox talks, safety briefings, and operational updates.
·Monitor and enforce safe systems of work and operational risk assessments.
