*THE ROLE*
We are currently seeking a Freshwater Operative for our Ardtaraig Hatchery, Dunoon. As part of a small team, you will assist your colleagues in building strong key relationships and ensuring a safe working environment for all.
The successful candidate will find themselves directly reportable to the Freshwater Manager for Ardtaraig and will carry out a range of work which will include all aspects of the day-to-day husbandry throughout the freshwater production cycle, whilst maintaining the site’s high standards of hygiene & biosecurity.
You will be expected to participate in a weekend duty rota and be prepared to work flexible hours should the needs arise.

Candidates should be active, self-motivated, mature minded individuals with excellent team working and communication skills. Computer literacy and a technical aptitude would be advantageous, as is possession of a current driving licence.

**About You**

The ideal candidate will be a positive and enthusiastic team player, who has a BEng/MEng degree in Civil Engineering and has achieved or is working towards chartered status.
You will have experience and understanding of AutoCAD, Microsoft Office programs and other relevant software packages. In addition to the above, experience in civil engineering specification for the water industry (CESWI) and experience in NEC construction contracts would be beneficial but not essential.
Ideally, the applicant will be able to demonstrate the experience, competency, and flexibility needed to meet the role's demands.
