Web Development Team Manager
We’re looking for Web Development Team Manager to lead PIB’s centralised web platforms, overseeing a large multi-brand estate of more than 100 websites across Europe. You’ll help shape and deliver our web platform strategy – driving architecture, development, operations, and security – while ensuring our WordPress, WP Engine, and Sitecore solutions are robust, scalable, and aligned to business goals.
On joining us you’ll bring with you;
- Proven experience leading web development or platform engineering teams across a multi-site, multi-brand environments li>Hands-on expertise with WordPress, WP Engine, and Sitecore, including governance, deployment, optimisation, and security
- A strong technical background and practical understanding of modern web stacks, architecture principles, APIs, and integrations
- Experience implementing analytics, optimisation, and accessibility standards (e.g. GTM, WCAG) to enhance site performance and user experience.
- Deep knowledge of governance, compliance, and security best practices (GDPR, cookie consent, data protection) for enterprise-scale platforms.
- A track record of building high-performing development teams, fostering collaboration, and driving continuous improvement.
- Strong stakeholder skills, with the ability to partner effectively with marketing, IT, infosec, and infrastructure teams to deliver outcomes
Ideally, but not essential, you’ll also have;
- < i>A degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience and relevant certifications
- Experience delivering digital platforms in a regulated industry such as insurance or financial services
- Exposure to large-scale web platform integrations or consolidation projects
- Familiarity with Agile ways of working, DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, and tools such as Jira and Confluence
- A background working with international and multilingual teams
