Responsibilities:
- Lead and contribute to the technical design and engineering of wind farm projects, including site assessment, turbine selection, and layout optimization.
- Conduct performance analysis and simulation of wind turbines and wind farm systems.
- Develop and review technical specifications, tender documents, and contract requirements for equipment procurement and construction.
- Oversee the installation, commissioning, and testing of wind turbines and associated infrastructure.
- Monitor and analyze the operational performance of existing wind farms, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to wind turbine operation and maintenance.
- Collaborate with project managers, site engineers, and external consultants throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
- Stay abreast of technological advancements in wind energy and contribute to R&D initiatives.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and project documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to the team.
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, or a closely related field.
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in the renewable energy sector, with a strong specialization in wind energy.
- Demonstrated experience in wind turbine technology, performance analysis, and wind farm design.
- Proficiency with relevant software for wind resource assessment and turbine performance modeling (e.g., WAsP, WindFarmer, Green-Weaver).
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, mechanical engineering principles, and control systems related to wind turbines.
- Experience with project management methodologies and technical due diligence.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information clearly.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple project priorities.
- Willingness to undertake site visits as required.
